For checking the sales flyer and bringing up their membership card… it does its thing. But the design is so outdated. It’s actually amazing that app even opens up. They can implement the point checking system in the app. Here’s some idea H-Mart, why not implement the membership card in the Apple Wallet with the ability to display the points as well? Make it so when people sign up, the membership goes straight into Apple Wallet. If there’s that and it works well, then no reason to make a fancy looking app. Many will simply use the Wallet app to scan and check points.

The app is alright but I have some problems with it. My problems are the fact that the threshold to get a reward is ridiculously high, maybe every 100 points you get a reward instead of having to get to 1000 would be better and a more realistic point for most people to reach unless you go to Hmart a lot or you could stack rewards up to a certain limit,either option is better than the current one. My second problem is not everything is able to be looked up on the app and you sometimes don’t get what you’re looking for in the search bar, my final point is there’s no description, reviews, nutrition or ingredient list for things, sometimes there’s pictures of the product to see ingredients and nutrition but they can be blurry and difficult to read and most things only have one image to look at and it’s only the front of the item. Love the store but the app really needs improvement.

TLDR:App logged me out so I had to log back in to scan membership card. Even after logging in, card did not appear. No Apple Wallet support. Terrible digital experience.I went to H Mart for the first time i n a couple of months and when I was checking out, I opened the app to scan my membership card. The app had logged me out due to inactivity I guess, so I had to stand there and log back in. Normally, this would be ok, but the reception in the store made it very slow. I even tried to get my card ready before it was my turn, but having to log back in took longer than I expected.But even after I logged in, my card didn’t show up. I ended up using all of my email addresses to figure out which one had my card. None of them showed the card after logging in. There’s a feature to find the card after logging in, so I used the same email address as the first log in attempt and the card showed up. Why is the card not tied to the account log in? Why do I have to log in first and then find the card again? Why can’t the app keep me logged in even after inactivity? Why doesn’t the app support adding the card to Apple Wallet? I had to stand there taking up time and holding up the line just so I could get my points. I eventually ended up just checking out without the card and getting the points added later at the customer service desk.This app is extremely inadequate and whoever designed it is probably incompetent. Terrible UX.

If you purchase items from H mart, you must be aware of that you may receive your order with some missing items but never receive any response from the store. I have used the online h mart for years but recently the mart became the worst online grocery store. There was a missing item from my recent order, so I tried to contact them to tell them that I received a package of my order but one item was missing. First, on its website, no phone number is provided at all. Only request through the website. I filled the request form and waited for a week, but no response. I requested again but no response. I never received any of their reply to my requests for weeks. On this app, a phone number is provided for customers to contact. However, when I called, it asked me to wait for the next available person for me that is usual thing. After exactly 2 minutes , my call was automatically terminated because it says no one is available now.
