I never write reviews but I just had to for Houdini. I used another playlist transfer app upon my switch to Apple Music, but I went in to find short playlists, random songs missing and it was just a disaster. I deleted them all and installed Houdini. Well, it was just awesome. Found all my songs (even the weird obscure ones) and transferred them flawlessly in order and notified me of any it couldn’t find. I’m now fully transferred over and don’t have to worry that any songs are missing. The $2.99 price tag is also super economical, considering some of its competitors’ prices. Thanks for a great app!

usually, i don’t go out of my way to write reviews but this actually upset me. i was looking for songshift (very good app i recommend that instead) alternatives because they stopped allowing you to scan your songs for free. i found houdini and thought it was a good deal. .99 cents to transfer and update playlists, who wouldn’t take that? however, it doesn’t give you a free trial to see if it works, which is kinda shady but i didn’t mind it because it was only .99 cents. It won’t transfer any of my playlists -_-. whenever i click the “open in [insert streaming service]” button it tells me that there is an error. absolute waste of .99 cents. i will just stick to songshift and might even play 6 dollars in order to scan my playlists for new songs.

Houdini is definitely miles ahead of the other music streaming transfer apps (namely Stamp). Other apps tend to not transfer up to 40% of the songs. It's rare that Houdini doesn't transfer or at least find a similar match. My only issue is that when the songs transfer, they don't transfer with the artwork I had on my previous subscription. It also tends to shuffle the list so that they are not in the same order as my original playlist. All that said, it's definitely not the end of the world, and this is easily the best one to choose.

It's rare that Houdini doesn't transfer or at least find a similar match. My only issue is that when the songs transfer, they don't transfer with the artwork I had on my previous subscription. It also tends to shuffle the list so that they are not in the same order as my original playlist. All that said, it's definitely not the end of the world, and this is easily the best one to choose.

It states you can “easily” transfer your playlists from on streaming service to other.Then out of 33,000 songs, they can only transfer 5,000 due to their own limitations. Then out of 5,000 they can only make it in slots of 2,000 each. Then out of these 2,000 only 1,000 are available in the servers for transfering. Less than 3% of my library trasferred. That is not stated anywhere when you buy the app.
