Thumbroll is an app that allows users to learn and review a variety of medical procedures at their own pace through the use of images. The images are high quality and each step has a written description below the image to make it even easier to follow along. I find this method easier to learn from than videos because I do not have to pause and play the video many times. I can “roll” through the images at my own pace and easily go back to a previous step. This is a must have app for anyone in the medical field, and I highly recommend it!

I am currently a 4th year Stony Brook medical student, and I must say that the modules on this app have greatly helped me throughout my classes and rotations. Sometimes we are asked to perform a procedure or skill on the wards that we are expected to have learned on our own, and going through the modules presented here has literally been a lifesaver for me. The app is also great for review for some of these skills that we haven’t performed in a while. I can’t wait for the application to add even more modules. This is a must have app for all medical and nursing students!

As a medical educator and background as a Certified Surgical Technologist, I applaud this app. Thumbroll is a unique app with STEP-BY-STEP instruction for many procedures. I send the medical students and residents I work with to this app if they are having trouble with a procedure and a need a review. It also is a HUGE asset to have at your fingertips if you are about to complete a procedure you have not done in a while. Keep up the good work. I look forward in seeing more procedures added!
