While I don’t think this learning method would be good for all people trying to learn mandarin, the teachers are extremely patient. You almost have to purposely mess up many times for the teacher to even get a little frustrated. I’ve been using this for a little less than 4 years now and the teachers really explain what the word means. They’ll actually take the time to define the definition and grammar context of a word. I think it is a very productive way to learn. However, almost all lessons are structured around a short story in Chinese that you have to learn how to read and then there are games that revolve around. The problem is that a lot of the time the story is a lot harder than it should be. There are more new words than the lesson intends to teach you and it can be frustrating to ask the teacher to read a word again and again. Sometimes the lessons can also get boring in the spaces in between reading and games where you have to do analysis. Though I do think that the good things outweigh the problems.
Not recommended for those who are in middle school or high school

The UI is fine, but childish. For the homework, the audio is very choppy is you are wearing earbuds/TWS. The teachers are meh, they do not encourage taking notes in class, unless it is the word they are teaching you (which is like 5 per week). The words that we learn is like in a very super weird order, I “learned” how to read and write 你 and 我 at like lesson 80. I’m current at lesson 100 and taking the “advanced” course (so believe me, I know what they are teaching), and I have learned only a couple of auxiliary verbs, prepositions, colors, clothes, places, connectors (as a whole) in mandarin. Also the teachers taught me the grammar at lesson 70 or so. I’d say you would know 85% of the words they are teaching if you know HSK1 and a bit of HSK2. To be honest, I would spend that hour a week reading flashcards and watching chinese movies. The teachers are good at teaching either way, so if you want to get your very young (5-10) child to learn some random chinese words, then go right ahead. Also, a tip for parents, please talk to your kid in Mandarin often, especially if they do small things like point at a rock and say ”这是石!!!“, although its gonna take a long time for them to reach the lesson to learn the word 是.
Super gud but
MyNameIs:P
So this app is supa fun but sometimes the lesson can get sometimes boring and hard to memorize, for example my teacher make me memorize like 6 words every lesson and it’s kind of hard, but the teachers are really nice :D but overall this is a good app to learn Chinese and math and other stuf :P I feel like once you learn the basics you shouldn’t just start memorizing words they should make it so you do like a test or smth
BRO GUYS THIS APP IS LITERALLY GOOD!!!
TOTALLYBANANASSS
Okay so this is literally a good app. Like I swear, why are people rating this 1 star or whatever. I love all the teachers. They are really nice. And some of the ratings in this app says it glitches. Okay I get it. It glitches sometimes, but the teachers asks for assistance to help. LIKE GOD PEOPLE BE PATIENT. so yeah overall, the app is amazing but I would recommend some things. Like for example, with those stars and thumbs up teachers give you. I would recommend you like create a store depending on how much thumbs up and stars you have in total. What should I put in the store? Well, you could like add stuff to like decorate your profile. It would be cool also if you add decorations like flowers to your camera when you are in class. It would be fun. but yeah. Even without my recommendations this is still a great app. BYE BADDIES KEEP SLAYING
Optimized some existing issues.
