Install this App to bring advanced condition monitoring to your phone.
ABB Ability Smart Sensors mounted on your motors, bearings and pumps measure operating key parameters at regular intervals.
Using your smartphone as a bridge to the internet, the sensors send the collected data to a secure cloud-based server.
The server gives status information, alarm notifications and analytics results about your rotating machines back to your phone.
With this App and ABB’s smart monitoring solution you can use your phone to check the health condition of your motors, bearings and pumps at any time.
What’s New
We’ve upgraded the Digital Powertrain app to a new microservice‑based backend, bringing improved scalability, reliability, and future readiness. This major release is designed as a streamlined replacement for the legacy app.
Performance Notes
As this is the first microservice rollout, you may notice occasional performance variations or minor limitations. These are known and actively being optimized, with improvements planned in upcoming updates.
Retired Legacy Features
To align with the new architecture, a number of legacy‑dependent and rarely used features have been removed, including:
-Service: Plant Locations, Event Logs
-Asset Cards: Favorites, Filters
-General: Measure with Handheld
-Sensor Management: Activate Subscription, ON/OFF, WirelessHART setup
-Calibration: Rotation Direction, Oil Change
-Asset Management: Add to Favorites
-Other Legacy Functions: Push Notifications, Event List/Overall Condition
These features relied on components not supported in the new platform. Modern alternatives will be explored for future releases.
