YouTrip has an advantage over the multi currency bank accounts (like DBS) because of the better rates it provides. Spending is secure too because you can leave the card permanently deactivated except when you make a purchase.It would help if money could be transferred out (especially when making payments which must be done via bank transfer), but for such low rates I would assume this is to prevent misuse.Overall a good app and service, especially for frequent travellers or online shoppers.

There has been a lot of noise around Fintech disruption but many products fall short of real value to the customer. Not YouTrip!The card provides excellent value and is so easy and secure to use. Exchange rates are the best I have seen and the app is brilliant to track your spending. Best part is if you have topped up a bit extra, not to worry. Can spend back in Singapore in SGD.Hope more features are added down the line to make it even more compelling.

Constant app failure

Money trapped in translation. Multiple times money transferred in is PENDING for many hours at a time making it unusable. Money already inside and converted often gets trapped when the debit card fails. Overseas and card is rejected by merchants because YouTrip side has malfunctions. Too often failures without any monetary compensation from YouTrip. After searching high and low for a hotline number, spoke for over an hour for a solution. Waited 3 days and again got an email asking for the same information. What did I spend that hour on the phone for?
