my device in on, connected to its wifi but it only shows a black picture on my phone. app software is updated but will not work

I’ve tried to use this with my borescope for the last 3 years, and every time it gives me fits ! I want to throw it across the hangar and then stomp it! I’d give it less stars if I could. The resolution is terrible and it won’t save the huger resolution settings. It reverts to 160 pixels every time. The borescope seems to work with the laptop, but I bought this to be able to use the iPad for mobility.Don’t waste your money on the box.

In the beginning had similar experience as negative review posted after charging scope and downloading app. ”Read User Manual” second time and came to realized I never went into my iPhone settings and selected Scope WiFi single..! As most people at home opening package delivered for the first time we forget our mobile phones automatically selects home WiFi single as usual. You have to go into mobile phone SETTINGS and manually select “ScopeAround_7COA” WiFi single transmitted from scope before your phone show scope lens picture..! Once I discover my mistake I was completely delighted how well the TESTLONG NTG100W Rifle Borescope works...!!!Immediately grabbed every firearm I own shoving TESTLONG lens into every barrel like kid in a candy shop...lol Clear detailed picture easily focused forward and 90 degrees showing slightest discrepancies..! Best $50 I’ve spent in years..! Now if only all my firearm accessories and tooling worked this well in same price range would be a dream come true...LOL..!

There were several options for apps to use with an iPad when I got our new Ablescope with the Wi-Fi box, and this is the one I found worked. The button on the side of the borescope did not take pictures, but the app itself does allow you to take pictures by pushing the little camera button within the app on the iPad screen. be sure to connect to the Wi-Fi from the Wi-Fi box 1st, then start the app afterwards. The Wi-Fi SS ID from ours starts with WIFIImage_
