This Company wastes your time! I was lured by an offer for public opinion polling paying $10 an hour, it being an election year they promised they would have plenty of hours etc, the catch…. Attend an unpaid training session and then take a quick quiz! But after jumping through their hoops, I wound up wasting at least five or six hours waiting patiently by my phone for them to text you that a shift is available. After the first week of answering their texts maybe a few minutes after they’d text and the shift always unavailable when i get to the app to accept it, I started getting frustrated and reached out to ask about it and was prodded to keep trying! Make sure your notifications are turned on! So the next week I waited with my phone in my hand the entire time which can be anywhere within a three hour window, But of course there are days that No shift is posted and there are times they notify outside of that time frame, but after being ready to go straight to the app as SOON as I receive the notification, and realizing that the shift is closed as soon as the message arrives, I gave up, i let the app remain active though and for the next two weeks i did still attempt to catch a shift but alas! ITS IMPOSSIBLE! They just string you along! It’s a JOKE that isn’t funny! Hopefully i will save some from spending their precious time trying to chase this SKAM! They unsurprisingly didn’t write me back when I told them I was going to write this review and uninstall their app! They know when the jig is up and when people have been pushed too far! What weasels! Steer CLEAR!

In the month of March 2022 Shift smart ran a Circle K campaign and the promotion was that if partners worked before the 20th of March they would be payed a $100 bonus. I worked at Circle K through Shiftsmart twice on March 12th and twice on March 15th and once on March 16th. The Shiftsmart app is very faulty and low quality and will not work correctly unless on a WiFi connection making it difficult to clock in upon your shift as Circle K has no guest WiFi . When I called support to inform them of the difficulty clocking in, the guy on the phone instructed me to go ahead and work the shift you chose in the app and then message management and they will insure that you are paid. Well on the 12th of March I was able to use an EMPLOYEES hot spot and clock in and out that way, but on the 15th and 16th this was not possible so I was not able to clock in so I worked any way and then messaged management as I was informed.They promised me through numerous emails that I would be paid, but they have NOT payed me YET! Nor have they paid me the bonus promised for working before March 20th that I should be guaranteed for the document day I worked on March 12 where I could clock in. I emailed shiftsmart and informed them I will be contacting a lawyer if I am not paid. They said they would pay me and then erased my history from their app!! I will be seeking a law suit for unpaid labor.

I have worked about 70 shifts on this app and what I find most beneficial is that there is a high demand for work every day (at times I’ve gotten up to 6 or 7 shifts in one day) as well as the opportunity to deposit your funds into your bank daily. What I find challenging is that often times when I am turned away from a site (which is okay because they still pay you) the support hub won’t even recognize that I am even checked into a shift so i can’t let them know that I got turned away so I end up checking out and having to explain why and not be paid. Very inconvenient. Also, without my knowledge, I was opted in to onboarding new partners. I had a few shifts where I had to have a shadow partner shadow me and they and I completed our task lists, yet I have never been paid the bonus $5 and in the app, I keep toggling to opt out yet everytime I refresh it opts me back in which is an issue because I have to choose to either 1) basically shadow someone for free or 2) cancel the shift and bring down my reliability which isn’t okay if you are trying to reach silver or gold status. The biggest gripe I have is that there is no support line to call or actual person to talk to so the chances of getting any of your issues fixed is slim to none simply because messaging support only really helps with checking in issues and payment issues (not including the $5 bonus) but all in all it’s a decent way to make side money.

This app is actually very legit I wasn’t sure about it at first yeah that changed quick. The first two shifts I booked, I booked as a backup so I showed up and clocked in on the app and when I went in I was told that they didn’t need me so I made note of it on the app and clocked out. I was asked to wait about 15 minutes by the app just to be sure. Well the original person didn’t show up either. But like I said I was told they didn’t need me. Well the app sent me a msg saying that the primary didn’t show up so they needed me to clock in lol. But by that time I had already left and again I reported that to the app. About thirty minutes later my shift pay was approved and I still got paid because I showed up. In had another shift later that day at the same store and the same thing happened again. So I did the same thing. And they approved my pay again as well. I just thought that they didn’t really like the looks of me lol. Well the 3rd shift I booked was at the same store. This time they needed me so I was able to go into the place and work. Though they needed me to do other things opposed to what the app booked me for. Which was fine by me I just wanted to get paid. The manager told me that she turned me away the other two times because they legit didn’t have anything for me because it was a slow day and they were able to get everything accomplished and she didn’t want me wasting my time. But regardless the app paid me for my time for just showing up when I was supposed to be needed. So yes. This is legit and I highly recommended it if you’re looking for extra money for gas or weekend stuff lol Well worth the download
