I’m not a fan of math at all. But this is really simple math set up more like a logic puzzle. It’s a great time consumer. The ads are actually very minimal compared to most games. I’m surprised this hasn’t had a lot more attention. I don’t usually do reviews but this game deserves more screen time so I’m doing my part! I really do enjoy this. The simplicity, the level of difficulty that is challenging yet still lets me feel like the smartest person I know, the time consumability with added distractionacy to combat anything from boredom to an overactive guilt complex (so I’ve heard), and it’s pretty witty to boot. The instructions are easy to follow, layout is clear. I’m still pretty early on in the game but at this rate this may become one of my staple go-tos. Thanks, devs, keep em coming!

I didn't feel like the description made this very clear, but you can remove ads for $2.99. From the game, you choose the option to buy 9 hints for $2.99, and that (also) removes ads.Removing the ads removes both the persistent, embedded ad and any pop up video ads. What's cool about this game is that it kind of looks like you're using a Calculator, to anyone nearby who doesn't look very carefully :-)It also controls just like a Calculator, so it's easy to play very casually as you hold it in one hand.Oh, and the puzzles are pretty pleasant. At least so far, they've all been a fairly reasonable number of moves – between 4 and 7 – and I haven't had to use any hints. If I start seeing any 12-step puzzles that force me to use hints, maybe I'll come back and knock this down to 4 stars :-)

An excellent game. Rarely can it be truly said that a game is challenging, fun, educational, and not frustrating. What I like about this game is that the puzzles explore math but, not in a way that stresses the player. There are no, at least that I have encountered, stress inducing timed or hurried scenarios. If a puzzle is too challenging, simply take a break and the Puzzle Calc is patiently waiting happy to see you when you return. Developers: I gave 4/5 stars because the App does not rotate when the screen orientation changes. Also, the options menu is a little hard to figure out. Example, I can not turn off sounds and do not know where to pay and disable the advertisements. All in all, I love this game!

This game is all well and good on its own, but it has its own achievements. First off, it doesn’t advertise that you have sign into Game Center through the Settings button before level 5 or you won’t get the achievement. Second off, I tried getting the level 5 achievement several times, deleting and redownloading the game every time, only to not get it because of an ad popup. I’m an achievement hunter and when I can’t get 5 easy achievements because of ads, not only does it bug me, it pisses me off. The game itself is fun and deceptively simple, but don’t put achievements in the game if you’re going to block people from getting them by putting ads in the achievement milestones.
