I’ve been using pronto for a total of 5 years now. Initially in 2020 I was just a rep at a sales company and never noticed how useful it was until I stepped into a management position 3 years ago in 2022. Events, competitions, operations, onboarding, company announcements etc… You name it, the app runs so smoothly and reps/employees feel the same pull to use it like an Instagram or twitter. So the water always gets to the end of the row cause employees don’t hate and avoid it like they do like slack or workday. 5 years and I have never dealt with a technical difficulty, or glitch and they are constantly adding more convenient updates. Not that they haven’t had a crash once, but I’ve never noticed so even if they have they must be very quick to make sure to fix it up. So 5 stars from me.

This is a moderately effective messaging app, with plenty of extra features to leave you satisfied. I am writing this review primarily because of one missing feature: usage on macOS. Considering I’ve only used it for educational situations, group chats within my school, as a replacement for discord, the lack of a dedicated computer client really stands out. Best you can do is to have pronto enabled on a browser, but I refuse to enable any notifications from browser on principle, so having a lightweight client which could run dedicated for the app would really help make the user experience better for those who do have Mac. It’s even more glaring considering most iPad apps apparently can be easily ported over to Mac, and that this app has APPLE VISION support without having this support extended to apple silicon desktops and laptops. Really a disappointing move to support such a right-turn technology such as apple vision before their desktop support. It’s a good app but just needs a port.

I’m a personal trainer and nutrition coach, and this app is the best thing to happen to my business and clients since the day I started my business! I am able to keep my clients in one place, finding them easily when I need to communicate with them, instead of having to scroll through or search texts to locate them. I am able to send them all announcements at the same time without having to copy and paste to each one, which saves me a ton of time. I can schedule tasks to remind me of specific things to talk with my clients about, during my check-ins with them. I also created a group for my clients to communicate with each other in, so they can share recipes (that I approve), bounce ideas off of each other, and support one another. This is HUGE in developing strong mindsets for people on weight loss and health journeys. Another great feature, which has been super great for me, is the video chat. I get to connect face to face with my clients, record our conversations and our workout sessions, and the recording stays in our chat with super easy access to watch again later. Unlike Zoom, I don’t have to save and upload to share anything. It’s already their, instantly!! As well, I can upload files to my clients as needed, and it stays in our chat, and is easily accessible to my clients as well. I am in L💜VE with this app!!!I also have a second group of ladies I use this app for, for my Bible Study group, and it’s awesome for them as well because they get to pray for each other, and lift each other up too. As of today, April 15, 2021, this is a fairly new app, which has some glitches, but the owners are faithfully working on it. I tell you this because I want you to know how awesome this app is, and how absolutely worth it, it is to be patient while they work out the kinks. As with anything new, it’s always trial and error before perfection can be implemented..... and even then, software can’t ever be perfect. Just try it!! You’ll love it as much as I do, if this is what you’re looking for! 💜

The app works very well, and usage is intuitive and smooth. I like the option to pin or hide channels and messages as needed. My only gripe is that there is no notification settings that is in between “mentions” and “all messages”. We have the option to reply specific messages in a channel and this is incredibly useful, but you don’t get notifications for subsequent messages in the thread. Having a notification setting that encompass both reply threads and mentions will help to highlight messages that are directly related to your conversations, especially in channels with a lot of people.
