I think this app has helped reduce the number of texts I am getting from political parties asking for money. Opting out of the spam doesn’t work. They just use different phone numbers from which to send the same messages, and they are rude and demanding. Unfortunately the filter has let some messages through even though the rules are already in place. It makes me wonder if there is a more foolproof app available. But I am going to stick with this for a while as I am gettting only two spam texts a day, when it was more than a dozen before this app. I would love to see feedback on how many spam texts have been rejected.

If you’re looking for an app that can get rid of all those annoying, sexual, or just random messages from numbers you definitely don’t know or got pulled into a group text featuring links to who knows what which causes your phone to go off like crazy because people keep responding to said texts then this app is for you. I’ve used it for over half a year now and it’s served me well. Just make sure to add words or the “suspicious” similar phone numbers you keep getting texted by and bam it all goes the text spam folder. No noise, no problems, nothing. And over time it’s stopped which is awesome. I do have a suggestion though, making a email spam hound app to stop spam messages from getting around your filter or better yet prevent them from even sending emails would be amazing. None the less get this app and you won’t be sorry that you got it. Thanks for your help spam hound!

I used to get so much spam. Ppl didn't believe how many texts is get every day. "reporting them as spam" from my iPhone, didn't help at all. They'd just keep coming, or from different numbers everytime. I'd have 70-90 unread texts every week to go thru and delete/block/report. I just hated the sound of my phone so much. I was overwhelmed. This app cut the spam prob...90% with just 5 mins of setting perimeters. You "blacklist" from senders, or ones with political names... But also, since I may mention political ppl once in a while, you can set your whitelist that protects those texts as well. I'm just so very pleased with this app. I don't hate my phone as much at all. So grateful for this new peace in my life

Solved my election spam problem entirely. Takes a little setup when you first download, but we'll worth it. Check the FAQ for the developers filter advice, and set up the all the rules under the "blacklisting usage hints" to start. Customizd further from there. Personally, I added a rule for elections for the words vote, voting, running, election, ballot, or attorney General. Customize to your hearts content. My favorite feature is to block imessages from email address entirely. I have never gotten a message from an email that WASN'T spam, and from what I can tell apple doesn't let you turn them off. Again, this app is well worth the setup.
