I like the gameplay and battles, the abundance of characters and leveling them up, the rarity of acquiring elite characters, the story behind the basis of the game, and the online guild wars and competing against other players from around the world. However, I did not rate this as a 5/5 because as a longtime gamer and huge fan of RPG style games, the offline story mode is very simple and straightforward, not long enough, not enough exploring options, the story is incredibly wordy (3/4 of the game is slow storyline), and you can only catch the specialty creatures once. I have not encountered them again while grinding XP. The idea of catching certain creatures and upgrading them to use as potential party members is a very interesting idea which I like, however they quickly become obsolete once you begin the online story mode and begin collecting elite characters. I would like to see an online open world roaming portion of the game similar to the offline gameplay. As you level up I would like to be able to increase the max amount of mana available used in the online story mode and the other timed storylines, especially since the amount needed increases as you progress. And if you don’t intend to spend real world money in the game, the enjoyment of the game can be short-lived and take awhile to play. Overall, it is a fun collect-them-all game. Something also needs to be done in the game about excess character shards. Like allow them to be refunded or reforged for soul stones or something.
