Looking for a way to make your listings stand out? Zillow Interactive Floor Plans and 3D Home® Tours are a free, easy and effective way to help you boost your listings and win more customers.
In fact, listings with a Zillow Interactive Floor Plan or 3D Home Tour got twice as many views and sold, on average, 10% faster than listings without.
- Free and easy to use: Unlike some other virtual tour options, the app is free, comes with the option to create a floor plan, easy for anyone to use and a great way to let people tour and experience a home virtually.
- Stand out: Listings with an Interactive Floor Plan or 3D Home Tour get specialized placement on Zillow and are supported by dedicated emails to prospective buyers.
- Reach more buyers & renters: Your Zillow Interactive Floor Plan or 3D Home Tour is automatically posted to your listing on Zillow, Trulia, and Redfin. You can also share them anywhere, including your website, the MLS and social media.
Connect a supported 360° camera from Insta360 (X2, X3, X4, X5, and One RS 1-inch 360 edition) or Ricoh Theta (Z1, X, SC2, V), then let the app automatically build your interactive floor plan and virtual tour. You can also use your smartphone camera to capture panoramas to create virtual tours only.
Putting together in interactive tour with just an iPhone (or a 360° cam and tripod for even better results) in just about an hour is totally possible. Once I link two rooms why not have the app automatically create an editable link back by default..? I also think that being able to add 3D-labels to objects would be great (although placing them correctly in 3D space might be a challenge). Still not sure how several panos within one room/area are supposed work when it comes to linking..? Also, none of the examples appear to demonstrate the 2D floor plan created with markers, why..?I also don’t understand why adding a pano after the fact destroys all links, seems unnecessary. But all that said, great offering for free!
Not happy.

Does it create a tour? sure. Is it good. No. Is the app easy to use? Somewhat. The software takes a while to figure out. So you start the tour and scan and the. Have to assign it to a room. You can reassign later but it’s a pain. You can and should hide scan positions while scanning or later but it doesn’t explain this. Not doing so makes editing more difficult later. The app I think it only uses Bluetooth to connect to the camera not WiFi. This means the app keeps getting disconnected from the Theta X if I venture too far away, which limits the ability to get out of sight of the camera. Reconnect isn’t always automatic. Each image is uploaded to the phone or tablet and then uploaded to their servers. The time between scans are very significantly because I’m waiting for the app to stop saying “camera is busy” or “fetching image”. I’m sticking with Matterport. Their system, tour, and experience is much better.
Connectivity Issues
Brassfield 911
Sometimes when I go to connect my camera to begin a tour, it won’t connect to my camera, or it will connect and then disconnect and can sometimes take me 20 minutes or more to get it connected and working properly. This could be an issue with phone or camera, but I don’t typically have this issue when using Matterport. That’s my only complaint with this app.
They aren’t progressing
MedicLamb
This app was hard to deal with from the very beginning. It’s almost like they didn’t want to beta test before launching. Now those bugs are out, but here is why my rating is low...1) I had to buy a used ipad because they don’t support Samsung even though Samsung is the most popular phone brand at 20% of the market and apple only at 14. 2) the user can’t edit paths when the tour is complete. Other apps allow me to edit the paths myself. Since Zillow doesn’t know where some rooms lead, you run into dead ends A LOT.3) They aren’t improving these things, yet they also don’t allow you to embed 360 tours from other brands so you are stuck using a subpar app. 4) I have been using them since the start and had my “Zillow certification” status for 3 or 4 years. even though I am the same owner of a different company, I am forced to reapply for the cert again AND now instead of just uploading videos, they changed their rules to require 360 uploads. Why require something when people sometimes prefer not to use your app for it?The only reason I use this app is because about half of my agents want these tours on Zillow as well
Developer Response
Hi MedicLamb, thank you for your thoughtful feedback. We appreciate to hear from you. And we have good news, you can edit paths (we call them arrows) - find more information here: https://www.zillow.com/marketing/your-3d-home-dashboard/ . We are sorry you had a subpar experience with your certification - please reach out to 3dhome@zillowgroup.com, we will be happy to be of assistance.
- Publishing a tour no longer unpublishes your other tours for the same property
- Fixed uploads getting stuck on "Queued" after leaving the upload screen mid-upload
- Minor bug fixes and improvements
