Aquarium Camera is built specifically for aquarium owners who are tired of their tank looking incredible in person and disappointing on their phone.
LED aquarium lights are brilliant, but blue actinic lighting interferes with camera sensors, shifting the colors of your fish, plants, and corals into something far less accurate. Standard camera apps were not made for this. Aquarium Camera was.
Designed for reef tanks, planted tanks, freshwater aquariums, and fish-only setups, Aquarium Camera helps you capture photos and videos that better reflect what your tank actually looks like.
“The Aquarium Camera app is an essential tool for reef tank photography.”

– Carlos Chacon, CoralVue
I created Aquarium Camera because I was tired of seeing brilliant aquariums online that did not truly represent the health, color, and beauty of the fish, plants, and corals inside. As LED lighting took over the hobby, aquarium photography became harder. Aquarium Camera is my answer to that problem.
Spend less time correcting aquarium photos and videos, and more time enjoying your tank... oh and doing water changes.
Works pretty good with color but picture quality isn’t the best
Rolandoon
This app definitely helps with the color correction of overly blue pictures, however, the quality of the pictures isn’t perfect… In some previous reviews the developer has stated he will be upgrading the quality of pictures as new phones are capable of handling it but I am on the 14 pro max (the latest/highest camera of any iphone so far) and my pictures come out slightly fuzzy. I think another good feature this app needs is camera stabilization to reduce some of what seems like motion blur from natural hand shaking. Tried to see if there was a feedback spot to recommend these to the developer personally but couldn’t find anything.

Thanks, the app now takes full resolution photos and 4k video among other improvements.
It’s good, not great

So I was pretty skeptical of this app working, saw it had decent reviews and bought it. It actually worked much better than I thought, and I was thinking wow this thing is awesome!! And even though it is pretty cool, I compared it to my 5 dollar orange filter lens and it was one, way easier to use. And two, better. That being said I l usually don’t have my lens with me since I have multiple tanks. this is a great alternative to when you don’t have that lens that works it’s magic for you. Another thing is that unless you are pretty good at photography editing and what not. This might come as a challenge to edit the picture. All and all though I say it is worth the 3 bucks.Happy reefing!

Thanks for the review and glad to read it's working for you. Anything else you'd like to see the app to do to push it into 5-star territory?
Works great! The critics probably didn’t fiddle around enough with it
Jonahmsu
It absolutely does work, you just need to fiddle with it. For me, red at 3.4, green at 1, blue at 3.9, and the automatic gel filter looks the best. It’s pretty spot on! Those who say it doesn’t work just didn’t know what they’re doing. Trust me. Just fiddle around with it. Putting green above 1 never really does anything good. You usually want to have red and blue about the same level, but it depends on your spectrum of light. You don’t want to put blue at 1 and red at max to try to correct the intensity of blue in your photos. It doesn’t work like that, you need both red and blue. Make sure to use the gel filter also! It automatically adjusted to the best gel filter for me
Awesome App

I don’t usually write review but this app is so amazing I have to leave a review. The app does what it suppose to do, help coral show more coral under blue led and I also like how easy to use this app is, I can locate thing very easily. The only problem I have with this app is that whenever I record something and I watch that recorded video in the app it will stall and force me to restart the app but overall it’s a amazing app, worth the money

Thanks for the kind words and the download. Let me know what you think of 4.0.0! and if you have any feature requests or issues.
4.0.0 is a complete re-architecture built to maximize the performance of your iPhone and iPad. Capture full-resolution photos and 4K video, choose from 32 lens filters, and save or share your presets. Built-in tips and instructions help you get the most out of every shot. A dedicated gallery keeps your aquarium photos and videos organized, while volume shutter support and haptic feedback make shooting even better.
4.0.1 restores pinch-to-zoom and focus controls, enhanced gallery view, and gallery photos and videos now sync with iCloud when enabled on your device.
4.0.2 restores Color Balance controls, including RGB (Classic) settings and improved White Balance options for more precise manual tuning. Camera zoom stability fixes help prevent unexpected jumps after using the zoom button. This update also adds an Autosave to Library toggle for new photos and videos, plus clearer camera permission handling and recovery. Thanks to all the users for their amazing testing and feedback! I love you.
4.0.3 & 4.0.4 restores several features users missed from version 3, while preserving the full-resolution photo and 4K video capabilities introduced in version 4. It also includes a UI overhaul to improve usability and make the app easier to navigate. Color balance controls now go further for heavily blue-shifted tanks, and Color Filter mode now includes a full-screen option. Thank you so much for downloading and all the great feedback!
