Got a new phone and trying to load the app back on is a joke. You have to it your number but then the number they text to authenticate through speed tab will never work. It’s an endless frustrating loop. Unfortunate because I used to order from South Block 3 or 4 times a week but can’t any longer

I’m new to South Block and while I like the concept very little has worked in the app from day 1. With an average price point of $15 - $18 this is not acceptable. The promo discounts ($5 new app sign up and $2 off next purchase) don’t work in app. An employee had to ring me up in store to apply the $5 new app sign up. My time was wasted and I left frustrated after several attempts to apply the promo on a kiosk. App activities take too long to reflect in the app. An app ingredient audit needs to be performed so items like Agave can be added to orders. It is apparent corporate seeks to have customers self service but the app isn’t up to par for a full self-service experience.I live close to the Union Market location and on busy days (practically everyday) the kiosk order process is chaotic at best, and the staff are not proactive or helpful in sorting out customer confusion.

I downloaded the app when the promotion was running, and the deals they offered were great.. but I’ve run into significant issues twice trying to redeem them.. and only used the app twice. The first time, I tried to use the free classic smoothie reward (separate from stars). It wouldn’t work via pickup order, so I went to the cafe to order there. Seemed like everything went through fine after some troubleshooting, but it charged me 200 stars for a large juice (?) retroactively. The next week, my sister attempted to gift a friend and I a bowl and smoothie via separate orders with her rewards and it charged her for both instead. We ended up needing to go to the store in-person to pay so she could get a refund. Use with caution.

I never write reviews, but this experience is pretty pathetic for a company of this size. I was trying to order ahead of time, but couldn’t because it wasn’t finding my account and tried guest checkout but there was no Apple Pay option. Drove to the store. Employees were confused about the app but mentioned there was a bunch of mess with the new app. I signed up for the new app in the store, but because even with an account the new app DOESNT have Apple Pay, I couldn’t pay. So now, I resort to paying the cashier but they were unable to find my account. Ended up paying cash and not getting any points for my purchase because they couldn’t find my account. All this for a dang açaí bowl. Old app worked fine. SMDH!
