The most customizable to-do list and day planner, with unique features to help with ADHD: focus timers, brain dump, accountability, gamification, suggestions etc.
Amazing Marvin is a to-do list and daily planner you can customize, one feature at a time.
WHY IT WORKS THIS WAY
Different things work for different people. The method that changed your colleague's life can feel like a straitjacket on you. The setup you loved in March can stop working in June. That is normal.
So Marvin does not hand you a fixed system. Turn on the features you need, and disable the ones you don't.
What users are saying:
"So customizable, that when I feel I start to get bored, I can change my flow or strategy & it feels like a brand new app."
If you have ever abandoned a setup because you got bored of it, you will love Marvin.
PLANNING YOUR DAY
- Day planner, where each day gets its own list rather than one endless pile
- Duration estimates and a capacity bar that tells you when you have planned more than the day actually holds
- Do dates and due dates kept separate, so "work on it Tuesday" is not the same as "it is due Tuesday"
- Two-way calendar sync
- Week planning, with tasks dragged between days to even out the load
- Nested projects and categories, labels, smart lists, recurring tasks
- A backburner for someday, kept out of sight of today
STARTING IS THE OTHER HALF
Knowing what to do and being able to begin are two different problems, and the second is where most days come apart. A lot of Marvin is built for that exact moment:
- Accountability Pledge: put money on a task. If you do not finish it, you pay.
- Procrastination Wizard: an interactive walk-through of why you are stuck and what to try next
- Task breakdown: split something until the first step is small enough to be boring
- Super Focus Mode: everything hidden except the one task
- The Task Jar: when choosing is the problem, let it choose for you
- Dread levels and Eat the Frog, so the thing you are avoiding stops being invisible
- Truncated lists, showing two or three items at a time instead of forty
KEEPING TRACK, OR NOT
Time tracking, Time goals, Pomodoro targets, Habits, Points and Rewards are all here (optional).
BUILT WITH LOVE, BY A SMALL TEAM
Marvin has been in development for nearly ten years and is still made by a very small team that reads its own support email. It is funded by the people who use it, which is why it has no ads, no data selling and no investors to grow for.
ON YOUR PHONE
The Marvin phone app syncs with the web and desktop versions. Capture on the bus, plan at your desk, or do all of it from your pocket.
Free 14-day trial, no card required.

After the free trial, Amazing Marvin is $11.99 per month or $96 per year. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. I’ve tried so many planners, task lists, and reminder apps, to help me organize, and they have never worked out for me. Amazing Marvin turned out to be just what I needed. There are so many ways to customize and setup your day depending on your preferences. If you have a lot to do, many projects, and things you need to remember - you can create a more involved system or it can be very straightforward and simple. It takes a little bit of time to get the shortcuts and strategies down. But once you do, it’s fabulous. Absolutely love this product. Thanks so much! 10/10 **The mobile app could use some updates. But overall, it worksUPDATE: Sept. 2026The new mobile app is absolutely FANTASTIC! I was faithfully still using it all this time, but this version makes the experience so much better and accessible. I love the interface. I love Marvin’s upgrade! Well done to the team! Thanks so much for working on the app bts all this time 👏🏾👏🏾
The one app to rule them all

I’ve tried every task / productivity app out there, I have ADHD, so eventually I’ll get bored & stop using them. But AM is so customizable, that when I feel I start to get bored, I can change my flow or strategy & it feels like a brand new app. No other app is capable of doing this. The bad reviews of the phone app are unfair in my opinion, because yes, the phone up can’t compare to the Mac or web apps, but is not supposed to, is meant to be a companion app, it does all the most important stuff & then some more. If you’re one of those who changes apps all the time because you either get bored or because you can’t find one that has everything you need in a productivity app, try AM. It can be a little overwhelming at first due to being SO customizable, but don’t get discouraged, their video tutorials are a lot of help, and so are their Subreddit & Facebook group. Customer service is A+
Best to do app ever

I love how everything is configurable, so you can change how you organize your task list at will or try out new strategies like time blocking or the Eisenhower matrix. I’ve tried many apps to organize myself, but this is the only app I’ve been able to replicate what I do when I organize my tasks on paper. I have brain injury, so it’s been hard to keep organized, but this has helped me keep track of everything. I can even print out my to do list as a backup or to tape my urgent tasks to my physical calandra. The phone app isn’t as useable as the desktop app, but has improved quite a bit since the earlier versions. If you like to customize everything, this is awesome. I’ve used Todoist, Asana, Trello, and many others, but they all basically have only one way of doing things, which is very limiting, but this allows you to do all those things and more.
Best Productivity Tracker

Okay look, I’m not going to pretend I went 0 to 100 and magically got my life organized after using this app. I heard of Amazing Marvin after searching up productivity apps (who else has had been in a huge procrastination block from time to time?). You get a one month free trial before you commit, which I find more than generous. At first, I signed up and probably spent a good few days looking at the different workflows and strategies (they have helpful videos) and checking and unchecking them to see what suited me. I can’t say I’m totally on this the whole time and rid of all my procrastination habits, but this really helps and I love the dancing Marvin when I complete something. This product is especially helpful on those days when I need to get things done. It incorporates events (imported from your email’s calendar!), recurring tasks, habit tracker, different strategies, etc. It’s literally on every platform so you can integrate it everywhere! It’s so flexible that if you really tinker with it you WILL find a configuration that will suit you. Sometimes it is a bit buggy, but I find it more than worth the subscription for the community, constant updates based on customer feedback (thanks to the AM team!), and flexibility. The ONLY thing I wish it could have was a “life homepage” or notes function where I can link all my spreadsheets somewhere (e.g. current subscriptions, budget plans, travel itineraries). Desktop version is way better than the app, but the app is still amazing for what it is and I am sure it will only get better from here.
This is a complete rebuild (Sept 2026), not another update.
If you last opened Marvin on your phone a few years ago, you were using a companion to the desktop app - and it felt like one. This is not that app. It has been redesigned from the ground up as a full Marvin you can plan an actual day in, on a phone, without reaching for your laptop to do the real work.
What changed:
- A brand new interface
- A Home screen you customize: brain dump, your most important tasks, current projects, time targets and more
- More features from the web app: braindump, mood tracker, spin wheel etc.
What did not change:
Your account, your data, your strategies and your setup are exactly where you left them. Sign in and it is all there. Nothing to migrate, nothing to rebuild.
If you switched Marvin off on mobile years ago because it was not good enough, this is the version worth trying again.
And to everyone who kept using the old one anyway: thank you! You were patient with it for a long time. :)
