Latest suggestion after most recent fix did not work. Would suggest going back to the most recent version prior to last update. Excellent response time on issue. 14+ iOS not viable for me at this time. Game opened with same cover and list, but game itself has regressed to what appears to be an antiquated version. All puzzles have black squares instead of white, mini puzzles have no squares at all. Why did the developer just go back to the version that was working prior to the glitch. Impossible to play. Extremely upset that I my have to permanently delete my favorite game. This is perhaps the finest crossword puzzle game I've ever seen or played. Suddenly just after midnight it would not load. It would try and I could see the opening screen but in less than a second it crashed. I have double checked and the parameters for my IPad are ok. I even deleted it and reinstalled. If my IPad were not compatible the system would have told me. I miss this game and would like to know what can be done to make this right.

I’ve downloaded LOTS of free crossword puzzle Apps, and this one is — hands down— the best of them all. You get several new free puzzles per day (usually 5-7) from (mostly) major newspapers like Newsday, LA Times, etc. (sorry— no NY Times, though). They represent a nice selection, ranging from fairly easy to real stumpers. And if those aren’t enough for you, you can even go back to previous days and do one that you hadn’t gotten to yet. Movement within the puzzles is fairly intuitive. They can be worked in either portrait or landscape (a real plus, IMO). The blocks and text for clues are large enough... plenty easy to read. Ads never interfere with working a puzzle... they only appear if you leave the puzzle for some reason. PLUS all ads are only 5 seconds long! You can choose to show errors or not, and you never have to pay for anything unless you want to buy additional puzzles... but why would you, when you already have so many great free ones to choose from? No gimmicks or froo-froos, just the best free crossword puzzle App around!

Love the app - one of the better crossword puzzle apps out there, for sure. I would like to offer three suggestions for future versions though: 1. Please offer an ad-free version. I’d gladly pay a few bucks not to have ads.2. The interface is a little drab (I love gray, but not necessarily for crossword puzzles). Nothing bright, or hard on the eyes, but not a drab gray color either. Also, I think the game would benefit from a smoother font. It would be nicer on the eyes also.3. Being able to sync between devices would be terrific, possibly via Facebook or iCloud, as many apps do. Super convenient, and keeps folks coming back to use the app.Otherwise, great job!

.....had this App for a long time....your upgrade now renders the App useless...lost all my puzzle data trying to open App I had... and downloading latest version will not open, crashes immediately....why upgraded an app that functioned perfectly to one that is so unstable it won’t even open?....…..well, you got most of the above fixed but now with your addition of pop up adds for various apps it has turned into a nightmare again…some pop ups you can not get rid of at all, they lock up your screen with no recourse but to reboot and hope that will get rid of the the the intrusive adv…..this used to be a great app but you guys just keep tinkering with something that used to work perfectly….I don’t mind too terribly an adv. once In awhile but not when they hijack the app and lock up one’s screen regularly…I’m going good looking for something that works…nice work guys, you’ve now got a product that drives people away….
