I’ve played quite a few shooters but they all had one major thing in common, you had to dish out money if you wanted to get in the harder levels.Somehow most games nerf your basic ships in each consecutive level to a ridiculous point. I mean only 10 or 15 levels in an over 100 level game and they won’t let me get the new more powerful ship without buying it. This one, when I first got it actually did a better job overall compared to other shooters. I made much better levels and I could even upgrade the ships and buy new ships with the in-game currency and not have to outright purchase with real money. Then they did a new update to the game and the whole world opened up, they balanced out the currency and the flow got better, the quests got better, there were added levels that once you get the special ships, you could go back and have fun blowing more stuff up that only that ship could do. So yeah this one has been the best alien/space shooter I’ve run into and plan on keeping on my phone for long time to come because it seems even the devs might be listening and actually improve the game rather than nerf it. Now many people complain about the commercials in the apps for stuff but you aren’t being forced to watch them. You want some extra gold? Watch an ad. Want an extra power up? Watch an ad. I for one like the amount of payouts and bonus given just for an ad but still it’s optional! Most are like 10 seconds or less sometimes. So all in all, I recommend this shooter. It’s a nice balance and I love the retro pixelated look.

Game seems fun at first but quickly becomes impossible without spending > a thousand dollars. I’m not exaggerating. Game is designed to be addictive and waste your time so you just spend money. I’ve beaten the campaign now and it’s deeply unsatisfying. A year ago it was difficult to farm resources to level up ships without paying. Since then they’ve decreased the daily resources you can get by a factor of twenty!! Game glitches are common and each update creates more bugs than it solves. I’ve lost hundreds of dollars worth of resources to these glitches and the developers do nothing. This game charges my credit card all the time without providing the resources so I bought it again bc I thought the purchase didn’t work. I get charged twice but only wanted one. This is extremely common. Items available for purchase are often very different from how they are advertised and many ships / parts don’t do what they claim. Like half of them. I spent lots of money and time upgrading a particular part only for the game to remove that part! No refund of my money. This stuff is literally illegal but Apple won’t do anything about it so do yourself a favor and stay far away. Multiplayer modes are completely unrelated to skill and super frustrating. They’ve added Ed one new campaign world (now 14 total) in the last year, and modes/features have been “coming soon’ for over a year.

Game is entertaining initially with cool graphics. You’re given starter ships with 2 sidekicks called drones. Then a wing for additional firepower but limited. You collect gems, gold, cards, and other stuff to upgrade your ships, drones, and wings to make them stronger and better for levels, attacks, battles, and so forth. It’ll take you months grinding to make that happen! For those who do not have patience to collect said gems, golds, etc. for free this is where gamers get sucked in to paying hundreds and thousands of hard earned dollars or whatever currency you’re in! I’ve been playing for almost a year now and believe me it is very tempting to buy and I’m so glad i did not spend a single cent! A lot of gamers are saying the developers of this game are just GREEDY and skimp on the free rewards (gems, cards, gold). It is very noticeable but one has to understand these developers need to earn a living as well just like the rest of us. With the money they are raking in, one would expect they would fix the never ending bugs and provide decent support. Last week of July 2020, the developers raised the levels of ships (X1, X2, X3, X4, X5 and X6) which make it really frustrating for those who took months just to get to X level! It’s just way too much and the sense of fun and satisfaction in playing the game starts to diminish... rapidly. So for me, I might continue to play for a few more weeks or months without spending a penny and perhaps for those spending hundreds or thousands should think twice before wasting more of their hard earned money.

I’ve played this game many many times, and watched more ads than I can count. On many occasions I noticed that the advertisement videos would not work after playing the game several times on any particular day. It would just say n/a. At the same, I also noticed at the end of each level I completed I would never get offered an ad video to collect more rewards. I never clicked on the n/a icon until today, so I did just to see what would happen, and after clicking the n/a where the video icon is supposed to be, and then clicking on watch, it notifies me that there will be no more rewards until tomorrow. May I just say... how stupid that is!!! So let me just ask, what is the point in defeating a level (or playing at all), if I don’t get offered an extra reward for completing it, so I can upgrade my arsenal, and why in the h** is an app that is based solely on ads, because it sure isn’t solely based on my entertainment, only allow me to watch a certain number of ads before it cuts me off??? From a business standpoint this is sooo stupid!!! Hello!!! If I don’t play or I do play, and I don’t watch ads which is how you make a profit, then what’s the point?? Someone didn’t think that one through!!
