Track work time, organize your hours, export timesheets, and support billing without a subscription. WorkingHours is built for freelancers, hourly workers, employees, contractors, consultants, and anyone who wants a clear personal work log.
Start a timer when work begins, pause for breaks, and stop when you are done. If you forget, you can add or edit entries manually, correct details later, and let WorkingHours split sessions that run across midnight.
Keep every work hour organized:
• Assign time to tasks or projects
• Add tags, notes, and descriptions
• Track breaks, overtime, hourly rates, earnings, and fixed fees
• Use tag rules to adjust work time or earnings
• Search and filter your work entries quickly
Turn tracked time into useful reports. View charts for duration or revenue, compare work patterns, and prepare clean records for clients, managers, or your own planning.
Export your timesheet data when you need it:
• Export to Excel or CSV
• Customize export columns
• Group exports by day, week, month, task, or tag
• Create PDF invoices from WorkingHours data via SubTotal
WorkingHours also helps you capture time with less friction. Use widgets, notifications, geofencing, NFC tags, and Pomodoro focus sessions to start, stop, or structure your workday more easily. Calendar integration lets you view appointments and turn them into tracked work time.
Your data can move with you. Optional sync uses your own supported cloud storage, including iCloud, OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox, or WebDAV. No WorkingHours account or registration is required, and you can continue tracking across supported phone, tablet, laptop, and desktop versions.
WorkingHours is free to use. Some advanced features require WorkingHours Pro, which you can test with a 7-day trial.
Pro is a one-time purchase linked to your Apple ID and unlocks Pro access for iOS/iPadOS. A separate Pro purchase may be required on other platforms.
When I was needing a time-keeping app a few years back, I spent months trying out 2 or 3 dozen apps before picking this as the one suited to my needs. It’s a great, user-friendly app with a nice selection of options. I do garage door installation and service, so I work for literally hundreds of clients and do multiple jobs of various types each day. It took me some time to figure out how it works best, but it handles my data well, and gives me accurate, customizable reports at the end of each pay period. Here are a few suggestions that, in my opinion would make “WorkingHours” even better:1. Add a “change work“ or “change task“ button, which would stop the current work unit and start a new one.2. Add the option of attaching a client to each work unit. Currently, I type the client’s name into the description field. This is working, but it would be much easier if I could select the clients name from an existing list.3. Better yet, have an entire database for clients with phone numbers, emails, addresses, notes, etc. for each oneI make the suggestions with the faith that such a great app has a great team of developers behind it that are looking for ways to improve their app. Hoping that some of these fit into your plans for “WorkingHours”.👍🏽 keep up the great work!Cheers!

Thanks a lot for your nice review and Feedback! I will think about ways to make switching between tasks easier. You can try the "continue work" button that shows up in the context menu when long pressing a work unit. For clients, I would recommend the use of "tags". Currently I dont plan to introduce a separate "client" section or feature
Best Time Tracker!

This is the best time tracker I’ve ever found. I’ve been using it for years and love that it is not overcomplicated, yet still fully functional and effective.I’ve taken deep dives into countless time tracking apps, and I have never been able to stick with one until WorkingHours. All the features and bells and whistles make the other ones a job in itself to manage. I don’t have time for that. I just want to track my time and be done with it.My favorite feature of WorkingHours is that it incorporates the Pomodoro method. I have it set up so that I only work on one task for three Pomodoro’s. And then I switch to another task. It’s great for someone like me with ADHD who vacillates between not being able to start a project and then becoming completely lost in that project to where we lose track of time.
Love it!

Two weeks into first using this app and I have already purchased it for my iPhone, my personal laptop, and my work laptop. I purchased through Apple Store, Microsoft Store, and Gumroad. I only mention this because my company laptop has disabled Microsoft Store, and I was very glad that I could still purchase and download the app through Gumroad, after checking out the developer’s website and seeing the link. So, thanks to the developer for making it easy to get the app through more secure avenues.I wrote two weeks ago I loved the multi-platform support and flawless syncing - I use iCloud - and I still do.I use this to track my project hours for work. I am in consulting so this is important. But I also use this to track other personal aspects of life and it’s been very interesting to see where my hours go.Also, I like the clean design of the app. Once you use it a bit and get how it all works, it’s a very efficient tool. And the tags allow you to set up various organization schemes.

Thank you so much for taking the time for this awesome review. While I am happy about every single review, I appreciate those longer reviews so much - it was a pleasure to read. So happy you are enjoying the app. Thanks for your support!

I am very pleased with this app. I am an independent book keeper and do work for about 10 clients with 40 companies between them and two volunteer gigs. This app allows me to track all am time whether billable, not billable and even my personal time usage as detailed or generally as I wish. My only ‘request’ may be the ability to do client/project/task multi categorization, but it has been an easy work around without it by using the existing ‘tag’ category and naming it by “client - company” then using the existing ‘task’ field as designed. Thanks for the great app!
• New Pro feature: Start, pause and stop your timer from Apple Watch, with quick task selection.
