As a high school student, I love the fact that there's an app for my phone that can notify me of safety threats or situations in my location (whether it be school, home, or work). Since school shootings sadly seem to becoming more widespread, I'm grateful that there's a simple and easy way to communicate and stay safe during a time of crisis. To me the most innovative aspect of SaferWatch is it's "tipster" feature, where anyone can submit a tip about a crime or threat to public safety. This is so much better than the alternative of calling 911 and be treated like you situation is no big deal. Also, my parents love this because they too can be notified or submit tips on safety problems regarding their children or community as a whole.THANK YOU SAFERWATCH!

I am a female that lives alone and had a dispute with a neighbor resulting in vandalism. I wanted it to be documented but didn’t know if it was important enough to call the police so I “submitted a Tip”through the SaferWatch app and am very impressed with the result. I received a call from an officer in about 10 minutes and they were at my door within 20 mins.Big thank you to the Fort Lauderdale police department for making me feel safe and this app for providing the ability to reach out comfortably.

I am thrilled there is finally an app that can prepare the general public for emergency situations in an immediate fashion. If you have called 9-1-1 before, you know they ask a slew of questions and sometimes are placed on a WAIT before they can assist in your emergency situation. SaferWatch makes it incredibly easy to access law enforcement and emergency officials when time is of the essence. I feel an added layer of security is always with me, and that puts me at ease.

This app brought to me a way of feeling safer.And as a mom of a High School Student this is much better! Because all of the students are able to download it, and use it when it is necessary.But not just students are able to use it. Parents can use it too.Parents, please, talk with your kids about it!If you see something suspicious anywhere you can immediately report it. You can take a picture or a screenshot if you want, and this is very good! Because it helps the police identify and investigate the problem faster.Also, you can report as anonymous if you want.You can report shootings, sexual harassment, misconduct of a teacher, or student, a kidnapping, threat, or any suspicions you might have.This app only helps,And always remember, IF YOU SEE SOMETHING, SAY SOMETHING.Be part of the solution!
