I was looking for an Alexa enabled lock to control my front door lock when my wife was busy doing her dialysis from the bedroom. For the price, features and reviews, I settled on this lock. While I’m happy with my experience so far, it is not without its flaws. The lock came quickly and was relatively easy to install mechanically. Instructions were clear and it fit my door well. I liked the fact that the mounting plate was metal, as opposed to plastic. I used the included bridge to connect it to Wifi and the instructions on the app were less than clear. Took several tries to sync the lock, my phone and the bridge and the process was frustrating at times. Once set up, things were pretty good from that point. I connected it through Alexa, so we can control it from inside the house, which is key to its function for us. I later set up the app on my phone to do the geofenced auto lock/unlock and this works maybe 75% of the time. I do like the notifications and the ability to control the lock when we are away from the house. This will prove invaluable for letting service people, guests and deliveries into the house. Overall I’m pleased with the lock system. Have to see how it holds out in long term usage. Took away one star for issues setting it up and the less than perfect geofence auto lock/unlock function. Also not a fan of the very large and clunky design. Represents a good value for the price. As many systems are more expensive. Definitely would but again and hope that they continue to improve the design.

I have 44 stairs in my home and so I was looking for some thing that I could unlock the door with from upstairs. I installed it correctly and it worked for about a month. It then stopped working And only made a grinding sound. It did not work and no matter how many times I recalibrated it it would not work. I called the company explain the situation and they sent me another one. I will say that their customer service was very good. He listened to what I had to say. He actually listen to the sound of the lock. And they sent me a new one. And once again installed it exactly as the instructions said it worked for about a month or two and once again it stopped working. It continuously says to re-calibrate. I have problems with it when I am standing 2 feet away from the door so I do not think it is a distance issue I think that this is not a good product. I had done my research and consumer reports and wire cutter and thought I was making a good purchase but this is completely worthless. I have noticed they have dropped the price recently. Something tells me that they realize they have a faulty product and want to get rid of it although I cannot say that for certain. I do have to say that their customer service was good. I have not called them about the second faulty lock because I really don’t want another one of these. It is very frustrating when you’re trying to get into your home and the lock stops working and you’re locked out of your house. Again I recommend do not buy this.

First of all I want to inform you that these cameras are already out of production! They are not manufacturing them any more so who knows how long they will support them? I recently installed a MESH ROUTER SYSTEM which gives me 350Mb download and 20MB upload. I mention this do you are aware that I have adequate speeds all through my home. The problem is that all too often these cameras lose the signal and I get the error message that the camera(s) have lost the signal. Well I EXCHANGED camera and placed one in the same location and it worked fine. You don’t have to be an Einstein to immediately know that it’s the camera and not my Wi-Fi signal. This occurs all too often on all cameras at various times. So logically, what’s the next step? Call customer service of course. Wow, reaching someone to answer your questions is like calling the Pentagon. You leave a message and no one ever returns your calls! That is extremely poor and unacceptable customer service. My honest opinion is forget these antiquated cameras and look elsewhere. If you do neeed assistance or customer service, forget it as it’s non existent. When you call the voice mail says thanks for calling and hangs up! What? Not able to even leave a voice message? Only other company that does that is LIFX. Products with no support are just asking for trouble, because if you do have trouble no one is there to assist you!!

Reading everything about this device it sounds great. The auto lock and unlock features, being able to lock the door from anywhere, everything the other models have at half the cost. Unfortunately that’s where it stops. Once it was installed you have to calibrate it. Ok no big deal. But then you have to calibrate it every day. The app will tell you the door is unlocked when it’s locked. And then you have wait for it to lock again before it will unlock. Then you have to calibrate it. When you go to leave you push the button to unlock it and it locks. Then you have to wait to unlock it. And then you have to calibrate it again. It is supposed to make life easier. It does not. The Auto Unlock feature sayid its working but then the door is locked. And when you finally dig your phone out open the app and tell it to lock and then unlock…we’ll you guessed it. You have to calibrate it again. Oh and I order for anything to sort of work. The app has to be open at all times and it kills your battery. After you calibrate the machine. Spend the extra money. Get the one that actually works.
