Not being a terribly technical person I was a bit out of my comfort zone when I bought a teleprompter this week. A friend of mine put it together for me and then I entered into the realm of software needed to make it useful. The first company recommended by the hardware people was not terribly user friendly and their customer support was literally nonexistent. Then I heard about a company called teleprompter and liked what I saw and bought a subscription. I was in trouble right off the bat, refer to my lack of technical skills comment. Then I reached out on line and a very kind person named Ana was able to help me and her kindness, knowledge and willingness to work with me until I caught on was truly off the charts. I am now looking forward to checking out all of the videos she recommended, knowing that she promised to be there with me as I floundered my way through t\hem until I made sense of it all. Exceptional customer support service is a rarity and ]getting less and less useful. This individual is an outstanding example of what is possible and how valuable superior customer service is and should be to every company. Ana, kudos and a giant thank you for your assistance.

After struggling with two other frustrating and time-consuming teleprompter apps, I was hesitant to try Teleprompter. But I’m glad I gave it a shot — it’s definitely more reliable than the others. Fewer glitches, smoother performance, and I no longer feel like I have to brace myself for tech issues every time I go to film.I’m giving it 4 stars because there are still two key areas that need improvement:Scroll Speed: On the record screen across all devices, the scroll speed should be adjustable by numeric input — not just a sliding scale. It’s too imprecise and makes it difficult to replicate the same speed across recordings.Video Takes: Each take should save as its own individual video, rather than being grouped into one long clip. This would make editing and reviewing takes much easier.Overall, it’s a solid app — just a few tweaks away from being perfect.

I’m a college student and I wanted to use this app for my public speaking class. I used my first free trial. My first issue with this app is why is it $89 for a pro subscription? The price is outrageous. I then later needed the app again. So I downloaded it, but I did not get the pro subscription. But they decided to offer me another two week free trial. To which I used. I woke up the day that I knew my free trial was supposed to end with intentions of canceling it to find my bank Been charged. And I was -$65 in my account. Now keep in mind I said I’m a college student and I don’t have a lot of money. When I reached out to customer service, they told me that I had to go through Apple to which I put in two separate claims and they both were denied. The Teleprompter customer service told me over and over again that they cannot do anything. That I would have to go through Apple. why is that a thing? Why am I paying you for my subscription but you can’t give me my money back. So now I’m out of $89 for an app I don’t even use. and have canceled my subscription. Just save yourselves the trouble.

However, when subscribing through the App Store, Apple handles all billing, cancellations, and refunds—we don't have access to your payment or the ability to issue refunds directly.If you were charged, it means the trial wasn't canceled at least 24 hours before it ended, as required by Apple’s policy. This is clearly stated on the paywall before starting the trial.
