A small B patch for our Quality of Life update that includes a few tweaks and bug fixes! The game ranges from 7 to 15 players. These players are randomly divided into alignments – Town, Mafia, Coven, Serial Killers, Arsonists and Neutrals. If you are a Town member (the good guys) you must track down the Mafia and other villains. The catch? You don’t know who is a Town member and who is a villain. If you are an evil role, such as a Serial Killer, you secretly work against the town members in the veil of night and try to avoid getting caught.

Great Game but a bit buggy

I’ve played Town of Salem for awhile now and wanted to try a few games on the app version to see if I liked it more. The style is very similar to the Steam version so I liked that it didn’t take time to get used to. I also loved how it was a friendly merge between the computer and mobile versions. It’s a good app and easy to just pick up and play. I really liked playing but there are a few bugs that kind of annoy meOne of the things that bother me are the random crashes. I could play a few games with no problems but, under the same conditions as before, crash with only a lag spike as a warning. This can happen whether or not I have full bars and makes it so much harder to play the game without worrying on whether or not I’ll be able to finish it. Another, more technical, thing is that if you press anywhere that isn’t the keyboard it sends the message you were typing. This can be good in some cases but is a bit ridiculous if you accidentally tap away while writing a sentence. Trust me when I say this game is very fun but could use a bug fix or two to get it to where it’s trying to be

I was excited to play this game and had seen people play before, it seemed cool which was what let me to get it but when i got in I had to make an account i didn’t like it but it didn’t really bother me. Then i tried to play it asked to watch an ad and told me you had to watch an ad before game fine with me but unfortunately you also had to pay for the ability to be coven which was one of the reasons I had thought it was cool and hadn’t just gone and gotten the game mafia. I still was gonna play cause I thought it could be fun and then after the set up and I had got my role the game started and as it loaded it closed the app. I had been kicked from the game and had to sign in, I did and tried again this time it didn’t give me the tickets after the ad so after 3 ads i got out and swiped it up, got back and signed in had my three tickets i tried to get in and it does the same thing where it kicks me out of the app once I get a role and such i try again it had consumed my ticket and I still tried again it worked this time i get in the game night goes by then day almost get voted and then when i think about what role to fake i get kicked out again and i had had enough I deleted the app and came here. I also noticed multiple people have mention this same problem and it hasn’t been fixed, i’m gonna re-download the app and try one last time and if it works ill edit this comment and if not then I wont.

I don’t mind watching 1 Ad per Game for Free Play, I do mind that it’s 50/50 on if the ADs “work”. Some days no issues at all, others I could watch 20 ADs and constantly get the “Flummery! You have to watch the full AD to get the ticket” obnoxious notification over and over, So enjoy the extra revenue I guess? Not sure if that’s an intended scam for F2P but the more it happens the more I don’t want to bother playing. Also don’t like how I somehow got a suspension my first day of downloading the app when I wasn’t even playing it, also 0 explanation as to why it even happened. No Mod help box, So I’m stuck with these issues unless I go to their threads (which are hundreds of pages of issues so good luck there). Gameplay wise I’ve had lag/freezes mid game that causes the app to crash so the matches leave me with nothing. Also there are Penalties for being AFK so that’s fun. Not to mention the supposed Good Community is full of racist trolls and 4Chan level smack talkers. I’ve personally been in lobbies with very disturbingly named people and 9/10 they throw the game and ruin it for everyone. Currently I can’t even play because supposedly there’s a new version but App Store offers No update and Uninstalling then reinstalling doesn’t even work. Lol. Mostly hoping writing this will get through to the Devs. All in all if you really want to play this game just play the PC version this app is incredibly unstable.

It’s really silly and ruins the game because the village wins 99.9% of the time so there’s no fun or point in playing honestly. Other than that I have It a 4 star because I know it’s not the actually game’s fault people are ruining It in this way. The ads are a bit annoying but I do realise the devs want some coin for creating this as well. Maybe a feature to add would be removing the chat or finding a way to stress the actual rules. The game is literally pointless to play as is because of the community.

Updated the Profanity Filter. Increased the Lobby Shutdown time from 60 seconds to 150. You can now select the gamemode you want to play from the endgame screen, rather than having to go to the home menu first. Roles on the endgame screen are no longer in Uppercase. Various Bug Fixes
