I travel a lot for work so it’s crucial I can be able to adjust feeding times. For the last 2 days I cannot connect to adjust to more food on days I’m away . I had to text my pet sitter to help and push the button to drop the food . And yes I’ve tried re starting my phone and also installing the app and also backing out of the app . This is not good .. I have to make sure my babies have enough good not to mention I cannot see them . The app has always been fickle and had to back out and log in for me to see but now this is plain scary

If you’re reading this review chances are it’s too late to warn you about buying this feeder (not recommended). The unfortunate reality is you’ll most likely be constantly infuriated by this app. For example, the way every update will stop the feeder from functioning with the app, and completely wipe all relevant data from your account for some unfathomable reason. To fix this issue there is a length process to log back into your account and add the device you’re planning to use all over again. In the case of the auto feeders this will be a manual input process that moves slower than molasses and has many convoluted steps. You’ll also need to have all of your WiFi network info handy. However, you’ll want to complete this obnoxious process every time it occurs (frequently) or the feeder will be completely nonfunctional for its intended purpose. If you’re planning to be out of town for a day or more, do the smart thing and hire a pet sitter. Trust me when I say that you’ll likely have to do that or desperately call neighbors to help if you don’t, because the updates are random and not optional. It’s already happened to me twice and I’ve only had the feeder for a year.

I have had the smart feeder and app for years and have never had any issues. Recently, the smart feeder appears offline when I’m not connected to my home wifi. I noticed this after I updated my phone to the most recent iOS. I have tried resetting the feeder and reinstalling the app. The company suggests enabling network permissions for the app, which does not solve the problem. I can’t find any other info on this problem and it appears others are having the same issue. The feeder still operates normally, but I have no way to feed when I’m away from home or check the camera which defeats the purpose of this feeder. Please update the app ASAP!

I never write reviews but this time I feel compelled as I know so many other frustrated dog owners must be feeling the same thing at this point. After installing and removing the app multiple times just to get it to work, we decided to try while we were away from home and sure enough did not work. Now we came back from vacation and called Support and they tell us it’s been more than 30 days and won’t honor the return. As much as I thought this would be fun for both me and my dog it’s been really Disappointing and frustrating and totally not worth it. Sorry but that’s how I feel about this product that has so much potential. Stay away until there is a newer version or a better product on the market.
