I’m sorry but if a Bluetooth device doesn’t connect right away then it’s defective. Let alone if it doesn’t connect at all. I would bet $1 million that every review here that isn’t negative is fake. The instructions that come with the product look so easy to follow…THEY ARE NOT. I am appalled that STAPLES SOLD THIS! I knew for $7 it wouldn’t work so I’m glad I kept the receipt! For everyone in the reviews saying all you have to do is take out the plastic tab to get it to work: that is a lie. There is no plastic tab and the light on the device blinks so it’s NOT THE BATTERY THAT’s THE PROBLEM. ABSOLUTE JUNK. I will be reporting this app to the App Store AND letting staples know they are selling a faulty product.

I didn’t look at any of the reviews for this product before already buying it and getting ready to download the accompanying app. As soon as I did though, I figured this was about to be a waste of time (only paid $1 with free shipping, thus, not a waste of money as well). Still, out of curiosity, I continued on. As the app downloaded, I fiddled with the actual ‘tag’. Seeing as nothing seemed to happen when I pressed the only button on the tag itself, I was hoping it was just a dead battery. I was happy to see my only problem was not removing the little plastic strip that keeps the battery fresh. After doing so, the tag beeped and it’s light came on. Next, I opened the app and was even more shocked when it did exactly what it was supposed to! I have only had the product for 2 days now, so I can’t speak to battery life or overall reliability. But I also don’t have anything bad to say either. Again, I paid $1 for the thing so I’m not going to be too upset if it does end up dying in a week. However, from what I’ve seen so far, it’s earned the 5 star rating I’m giving.

The KindElf ‘iTAG’ works excellently for me. I use it to track my curious kitty. The alerts are more responsive than ‘Tile’ and GPS is more accurate than ‘nut’. This iTAG device does not come with very good instructions. I think that’s why most people have problems. The only reason I was able to figure it out is because I bought a ‘nut mini’, at the same time. I followed those instructions to get this Kindelf app to find my iTAG device. I’ve copied & pasted said instructions below, in case they can help the next guy enjoy the Kindelf iTAG as much as me. I don’t know about dog tracker as the keychains only last about 30 feet. And to the other reviewer the beeping is stopped if u turn off the alarm when disconnected. Basically if you leave range the alarm will go off so I like it for my purse and keys.. perfect for them actually it will save me invade I ever walk away leaving my purse in the restaurant again or my keys at someone’s house both I’ve done. The app lets u see it’s location if connected and in range and last location if disconnected renaming and changing sound is nice wish the battery lasted longer tho
