Art History Buff

I took AP Art History 8 yrs ago. I wanted a refresher without having to take an actual course. This app is wonderful! I love the set up and the way the information is displayed. Such great quality! I have regained so much information about Art and I feel at ease learning about it. I take a few minutes every day to go through the app and there are times when I just keep going. Very fun and interactive way to learn or refresh your art history knowledge. I would recommend this to any one studying for the AP Art History exam or homeschoolers. Not sure that is interactive and compelling enough for any one bellow the age of 14 of 15. But it’s great!

Thank you very much for your comments. I work alone and the only way I can know if I am on the right track is when I receive user’s comments. Comments like yours keep me motivated to continue improving « Learn Art ». Thanks again!
Pleased. Very pleased. Good, succinct content.

I am beginning, like it very much so far, but… really wish the text was a little larger. For individuals with visual impairments, slightly larger text and/or a font that includes slightly more spacing can improve the reading comprehension experience because the reader can focus on cognitive fluency processing and not visual accuracy. However, other than that I am very much enjoying the app. I particularly like the glossary explanations on the genres. This supports a better close read analysis of the work and putting the visual elements in perspective. I also like the flash card format. This format keeps the content delivery dynamic and engaging. I am just getting started with this app. Compared to the other art learning apps, this one is more academic feeling, which is what I was looking for to assist me in my studies and my workshop teaching and learning. I may have more praise for the app after I use it longer. I will recommend it to the participants in my workshop sessions.

I like the way you can choose from multiple choices, and usually get a right answer and some points before you run out of choices. I don't like that there's no back button when you make a typo and you're spelling the artist's name out of the arrangement of letters that they give. No back button, no redo, one typo and you're out. I wish they would fix that. I also wish there was more repetition so that I could drill this stuff into my head better. Make a mistake, and see the repetition numerous times so that it would sink in.Also they don't know how to spell "achieve," which last I heard, does not include the letter W…"Can you achiewve the next level...?"

Thank you so much for taking the time to write this detailed feedback! I'm an independent developer working alone on my apps, so comments like yours are really valuable for improving them.Good news about the typos: you can actually correct a letter you've already placed, just tap on the letter you want to remove, and it will go back to the letter arrangement so you can pick another one.And thanks for catching the spelling mistake in « achieve », you're absolutely right, no W in there! I'll fix it in the next update.I'll also keep your suggestion about more repetition in mind for a future version. Thanks again for your support!
App is fine, but...

to get coins. I was subjected to watching an ad from Epoch Times, a pro-Trump, right-wing, conservative news agency. “No collusion between Trump and Russia.” Known for spreading conspiracy theories. App is good. However, I’m just wondering who’s behind it.*Revised: Thanks for your response, and for your consideration in removing the ad. It reeks of Facebook’s fake/Russian-inspired ads. Epoch is backed by the Chinese. I will adjust my rating to only reflect the app.
Developer Response
I am a French Canadian living in Quebec City. I am 63, retired and making Apps is my hobby. “Learn Art “ was entirely done by me. The coins are there to make the Quiz/Game a bit more spicy. The video/ad you see to get coins is a service provided by Google. I have no control on what goes in the publicity. Thank you for your comment, it makes me realize that in the next version of the App, I should remove this ad.Normand
