I’m in acting school and this has been the best tool i’ve found to quickly learn large chunks of text without losing my mind in the process or getting trapped in the same cadence/line readings. It also helps me stay word-perfect rather than paraphrasing my lines, which is really important to me. I don’t use all of the features, mostly only the typing the first letter exercises, but I appreciate the many options. I also find that I don’t have to speak out loud to start memorizing when i use this app, which is helpful for a busy person who can’t always be reading lines loudly in public (though eventually I need to practice that way to get fully off-book).If you’re an actor who struggles with the starting stages of memorization, I would recommend this app as a jumping off point. The free version is useful but the premium also won’t break the bank and makes it much easier to scan text directly.

The reorder sorting functionality needs to be way smoother. It’s extremely buggy and painful to use. Maybe drag handles that instantly pickup the box and move it. Type and the mastery level of First Letter (level 3) what is going on appear to be exactly the same. Also, it would be nice if Type did not show the correct word in red if I type the incorrect letter. Make me keep typing until I get it right. Maybe that’s a distinction that could be made with Type that First Letter wouldn’t have. For example, First Letter, when you mistype the letter it can still show the correct word whereas Type would not show the correct word when I hit an incorrect letter. Maybe there would also be a mastery mode in Type that lets me type all the characters of the words not just the first character. that could be another distinction between Type and First Letter. It would also be nice if Speak could do live transcription errors and buzz the phone if I get one wrong. I see this working similar to the Teleprompter apps that let you speak your script and it scrolls at the same time, but obviously instead of scrolling when it detects the word it would just buzz if it’s wrong.

Hi! These are some great suggestions that we’ll implement. I have made the reorder game smoother in the recent update.

My previous memory app was free, but it offered only one activity mode and a built-in review schedule. When it failed to keep up with iOS changes, it dropped from the App Store...and so my quest to find the perfect memory app began. Most apps for Bible memory rely on passages that are curated on the Internet, but Memorize By Heart allows the user to copy/paste any passage of any length, which is great for memorizing entire chapters, if desired. Although the developers make a number of famous quotes available for download from their library, it's up to the user whether to download or not.I have been amazed with the level of developer response with this app...when I made a request for a few features, I got an immediate response...and they were implemented in just 3 weeks! It's pretty obvious that the programmers aren't just out to make a buck; they truly care how folks learn and want to make the experience as efficient as possible.A few features that I really like are the adjustable text size and multiple learning modes. If I get bogged down with one method, switching to another can help to get back into learning mode. Dark mode integration is helpful, too. Highly recommended!
Great app, no very good support.

I use this app and find it very effective for memorizing scripture. I recommend it for anyone trying to memorize anything. I’ve tried about 10 different apps and find this to be the most effective. That said, the support for this app is non existent. I paid for the lifetime membership so I could have more than two memorizations at a time. I like how i can use this app on my phone and my computer and they have a sync feature, but it doesn’t work very well. I am constantly changing my memorizations or making grammatical changes and they don’t sync between devices. Even after turning off sync and turning it back on my computer doesn’t match my phone. Very annoying. And to make it worse, there is absolutely no place to click to send an email or txt for any type of support. This would be a 5 star app if they had any support function at all.
