This app advertises that one Tonestro subscription covers all instruments. Based on that, I activated a trial here and later installed the combined app. However, the trial from this app was not recognized in the combined app. “Restore Purchases” did not sync across apps, and the combined app defaulted to a paid subscription flow without clearly recognizing the existing trial. As implemented, there appears to be no safeguard preventing multiple active subscriptions under the same Apple billing account. That makes it far too easy for users to be charged more than once when switching between Tonestro apps.If one subscription truly covers all instruments, that relationship should be automatic and clearly handled across apps. In my experience, it was not.
Hello,Each tonestro app is technically managed by Apple as a separate application with its own in-app purchase products. Even if a subscription may cover multiple instruments in content terms, trials, billing periods, and subscription handling are processed individually through Apple’s system within each specific app.Apple fully controls how subscriptions are recognized and synchronized. The “Restore Purchases” function also only retrieves the in-app products assigned to that specific app in Apple’s billing framework. As developers, we do not have access to payment data and cannot influence how Apple processes or displays subscriptions across different apps. We also cannot merge or override separate in-app subscription products within Apple’s system. All billing, renewals, and refund decisions are handled exclusively by Apple.
