这款APP对武汉市已开通的9条地铁线199余个地铁站的无障碍设施通过照片和文字说明来进行了标注。
它不仅能鼓励更多坐轮椅的残障朋友乘坐地铁出门、积极重新融入社会，还能惠及到腿脚不便的老年人、孕妇及儿童、腿脚暂时受伤者、携带较重行李者以及运货的人等等。
这款武汉地铁无障碍出行移动指南手机应用软件通过采集整个武汉市地铁站的无障碍设施信息，在后台建立了武汉市地铁站的无障碍设施信息数据库，并为前台提供了可以调用的接口；为用户提供了对地铁站无障碍设施信息的查询和搜索等功能并使其能够获得这些设施的相对地理位置信息和实物图，来帮助大家完成无障碍出行的需要，以便他们可以合理地规划出行路线。
后期还会根据以优化利用地铁站无障碍设施为标准的算法嵌入进乘坐地铁无障碍出行合理线路推荐功能。
同时这款APP还添加了使用者自行上载地铁站新增无障碍设施的或已有无障碍设施出现问题的照片以及文字说明的功能，以鼓励大家都积极参与到促进武汉地铁站内外无障碍设施得到不断完善以及促进其变得更加合理和人性化的宣传和倡导活动中来。
