Not worth the time if you already play the original

Edit 2: I’m addicted to this game. Edit: I have been checking in as the app updates, and sending feedback via the app. While the 3D models need a major overhaul still, I’m happy to see that plush pets are returning for both Classic and Next. Unfortunately, my biggest complaint now is the pricing. Maybe the plushes will be less expensive after the holidays, but 30+ dollars is just out of my price range for entertainment, especially since I’m paying for college and currently jobless due to the pandemic. Keep working at it, Ganz App crashes frequently... This is their attempt at a solution for flash players going under. This is a TERRIBLE solution. I had hoped they were working on porting the original to a mobile format or an online format that did not require flash player. Instead, they were working on this, eye-melting terror. I have 23 pets in the original game! That is over 200 dollars worth of Webkinz pets! I payed 200 dollars in total, to be able to play a cute, and well fleshed out flash game. Even when flash player is gone, I WILL be taking care of my pets daily via the Webkinz “Classic” app. I am deleting this, and never touching it again. There was a lot in “Classic” that I can tolerate. (Deluxe Membership, eStore points, having to buy a new pet yearly). But starting all over?? I’d rather just not play at all if I have to start over. Also these characters models look like they are straight out of the movie Food Fight. And the game gives me motion sickness in some places. 🤮
Surprisingly Nice

I do like it, I didn’t expect to as it looks so different but once you actually get into it it looks nice, aside from how offputting the models for the NPCs are. I wish the app wasn’t so demanding on my phone, it almost immediately causes it to heat up despite lowering the graphics so I wish there was an additional option to turn off animations and further lower textures. Besides that it’s a pretty good updated version of Webkinz and I really appreciate that it’s free to play, that there’s only one minor difference between a member and non-member account, and I like that they award gems. The sparks mechanic is creative and pretty cool, membership is self-sustaining because of it, although I don’t think I’ll purchase any of these newer designed stuffed animals because they don’t look like Webkinz to me, these new ones feel generic and have those big sparkly plastic eyes that so many stuffed animals have these days. I’ll still say it’s a cool idea at least, that if you spark a rare pet you can order its stuffed equivalent and I’m sure that’s great for people who like the toy design. Overall pretty nice and I’m glad the team gets to do Webkinz more in line with how they envisioned it originally.

Thank you for your review! You can turn down the graphics on the game by tapping on the Options button and sliding the Graphics Quality to the left. Reducing the room view to 1 will also reduce the resources used by the game.
Good game but needs to do a big bug fix update

Don’t get me wrong this new webkinz has got to be pretty high up there is my fav games, but the glitches need to be patched or else I don’t think I’ll be able to play anymore#1 recently I had a problem with webkinz that was really bad, it started bugging worse and worse until I couldn’t get past the loading screen, it got fixed but I want to make sure you guys know so it never happens again #2 when I first started playing in early 2022 I made an account but when I joined I glitched the game and I opened the gift at the start but it didn’t get registered, I was stuck for 1 month before giving up and starting over, I fortunately didn’t get my webkinz plush pet on that account before it broke in the tutorial but still you need to fix this so it doesn’t happen to unfortunate players like me and 3 also got patched but I just want to make sure it doesn’t happen again, when I went on once the game froze so I did what any normal person would do, I refreshed the game and went back on but the music didn’t stop, I went onto a app with sound in hopes to get the music to stop but it stopped, i even turned off the device but it still played that intro music, and then my INTIRE DEVICE CRASHED and I’m not over exaggerating I was turning it off and on to try to get rid of the sound and it just stopped responding for a whole minute until it finally showed life again, webkinz next is such a good game but if you would have focused more on bugs then it would probably be just as good as the original with the new features.P.s if you could add the tree frog to webkinz next I would really like that too

Oh dear. I really, really wanted to like this but unfortunately, there is very little to like. The pets look terrifying; the level of three dimensionality was very unnecessary and leads to a very glitchy gameplay. The controls are confusing and even if they weren’t, there simply isn’t much to do. All of my favorite features from the original Webkinz, such as the Curio shop and Magical Forest, are gone. The babies idea was cute and definitely my favorite aspect of this, but in my opinion would still be better if the animation style were more similar to the original and less hideous to behold. All the charm from the original game is missing. 2 stars because I have hope that the developers will see the reviews and overhaul this game to make it enjoyable. Maybe take some inspiration from Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp, which has somewhat three dimensional characters and structures while maintaining cuteness, as well as more separated locations that seem to help with processing speed. The new Webkinz game also has a lot of clutter, in terms of the ugly furniture scattered everywhere as well as the confusing and messy controls. Complexity does not always mean better. Basically, game would have a lot more potential if it were to go in a more stylized/cartoonish direction instead of aiming for realism because the current version is neither more attractive nor good for actual gameplay. Then the focus could be on adding more mini-games for users to actually have fun playing, rather than all the effort going into fixing the problems caused by the graphics.
