Ride GOAT, experience your city!
Locate a nearby GOAT using the app.
Locally owned & operated fleets of GOAT scooters are available in cities and campuses across America. By empowering local owner/operators, GOAT brings dockless electric scooters to locations where larger ride share companies aren’t yet available.
Just download the GOAT app, find a scooter near you and start your ride!
To initiate your ride:
Locate a GOAT nearby and start the ride using your app. To begin forward motion, place one foot on the footboard and use the other foot to push off from the ground 2-3 times while pressing down on the accelerator.
Keep your left hand on the break lever ready to push down, at all times, should you need to slow down or stop. Keep both feet on the footboard while riding.
Ride responsibly using bike lanes when available.
Once your ride is complete, lock your GOAT using the app by "ending your ride". Please be sure to leave your GOAT in a safe, visible place in the upright position, out of the way for pedestrians and those with mobility issues.
Our support staff is available through the app and we’d be happy to help if you have any issues.
Otherwise, Ride GOAT, experience your city & support local business!
The app was a little less than user-friendly to figure out but once we figured out how to do it, we had an awesome ride! The scooters maxed out at 15 mph and had enough power to get us up hills and over bumps. I love that we could leave them anywhere in the city and not worry about leaving them somewhere specific in our time limit.
They might scam you

I’ve been using these scooters at my college campus SHSU for about a week now. They’re convenient when they want to work. I’m not writing this review to bash the company or anything which is why I’m giving it 2/5 stars even though it probably deserves 1/5 stars. I’ve been riding these and for the most part they work. Several times now though once I’ve arrived at the GOAT pens they don’t let you end the ride. This morning I was heading to class and I had a class 15 minutes after I arrived at the rack. Once I arrived I tried to end my ride and it wasn’t letting me end it despite me being at the right location at a rack. The same thing happened to another student at the same exact time. A ride that took me 4 minutes ended up taking me 34 minutes just to end the ride. I called support and everything and the lady took my name and number and told me I’d get a call shortly. I then get a call from someone with No Caller ID while I was in class. After getting out of class and the timer STILL going I tried to call back but due to them calling with No Caller ID I couldn’t return the call. The problem ended up fixing itself in the end and they ended my ride. Instead of being issued a refund a ride that should’ve cost $1.60 ended up being $8.80 and I had just refilled my wallet the same morning. Most of my money is now gone out of my wallet from one trip and the scooter just sitting there. This was pretty bad customer service and I don’t know if I’ll be using these anymore. Complete inconvenience but like I said before it works probably 3/4 of the times you ride them. Prepare for some frustrations if you’re going to be riding these.

I’ve riden Lime, Swift, Bird, Jump, Uber and Lyft scoters. This app is the clumsiest of all of them. Hint: once you creat a password and you see a grayed out “next” button... it means that you need to tap the tiny purple letters in fine print to go agree to the terms and conditions. I spent 3-4 min here trying different passwords thinking it didn’t like my passwords. Not the case. There should be a pop up page for the user to agree to terms. Those tiny letters were not at all intuitive. Also- terms and conditions page contained the incomplete sentence and odd phraseology. Then once app finally launched I was prompted to “update” my app. Clicked to follow link.... when back to apple App Store only to discover I had the current app. “X” out of App Store. App insists I update the app, which can’t be done because I’m already updated. Close app. Re- try again. No go. Restart phone and try again. No go. Reinstall. App. No go. Guess what!!!! This app is a total NoGo!!! I’m 15 minutes into an attempted use and still no go. THERE IS NO WAY A NORMAL CUSTOMER WOULD STILL BE STANDING ON THE STREET FIDDLING WITH THIS TERRIBLE APP. THEY WOULD HAVE LONG SINCE QUIT. PICKED UP THE SCOOTER AND THROWN IT INTO THE STREET!!! I hope version 2.0 is a smidge better. Cheers.
Nice!
Too LeGlitched 2 Quit
Very nice app, and works well with everything and is super user friendly. My only gripe is that I wish it wouldn’t force you to top up your money before you go for a ride. I have over 5 bucks on my account which translates to about 12 minutes of ride time, but I can’t go without putting 10 more dollars on my account, which I will never use fully since I don’t ride often enough. That brings me to the second thing, I wish we could put in a custom amount of money, and not the preset 10, 20, or 40 dollar options. If they made it so when you run out of money the scooter just stops, that would be better than having to have 20 dollars on your account to go for a 5 minute rip and spend only a quarter of that money.
Thank you for using Goat - Scooter Rental! We update the app regularly to provide a great user experience by including amazing new features, performance improvements, and bug fixes.
