My reason for choosing to get the bulk of my HealthCare in Chemung County from Guthrie is their IT (Information Technology), specifically this App. It is so easy to look up results of Labs, X-rays, Scans, Progress Notes, Appointments, even my financial information, etc… In fact, Most importantly, I can get results of Radiology Procedures (X-rays, Scans), etc… with the actual films. This allows me to share these with my other Doctors, those who are not associated with Guthrie. My Doctors at UCLA and Yale New Haven can view my results, including the actual films, from their offices. And, it is a great service to review my Medications before my next visit. It saves time during each visit and keeps me knowledgeable about my medications. Thank you Guthrie for making this investment in IT. It is definitely “Value Added.”

I really love the new app. Test results get loaded quickly. Before when it was Lourdes I had to find on the web and dig for a way to get a virtual appointment. With this new app it’s all located in one easy spot. You can also message your provider as well. I do wish my provider was a little more responsive when I email him. It is a new system so I definitely understand. Really really nice app.I do wish that they would put status updates on the financial applications on the app to track the progress of your application.

The only person I have not had difficulty reaching and receiving an answer from is my regular doctor Eric Phillips. In early January 2024 I made two attempts thru eGuthrie to contact my care team in cardiology reporting that I was having palpitations again, like she had previously advised me to do. On two separate occasions I requested that someone in cardiology contact me for an appointment. To this date, no one has answered my request. On Thursday February 1st, I called the Guthrie main number, prescription line and requested a new prescription for CPAP supplies. I also sent a prescription request on eGuthrie. Neither i nor my supplier has heard anything from Tammy Copp’s office. I cannot receive the supplies until a new prescription is written and submitted. This system does not work unless someone answers!

Everyone I had went above and beyond to make me comfortable. From the admission to my discharge.The lady in the or that was getting me ready for my surgery was wonderful I think her name was Gayle.Everyone treated me with the utmost dignity.Also Darrick or Darrin was wonderful. Even though I did spill my ginger ale 3x. My discharge nurse that helped me get dressed was wonderful.Dr Austin was great as well as the anesthesiologist. I do not have a negative thing to say about anyone. Thank you so much for all of the wonderful care I had. I will see you again I believe Feb 23rd for my other wrist. Have a great weekend.
