Very useful app and I use it regularly particularly when I have to leave my dog in the car for any length of time. My dog is happy going on adventures with me even if it’s just to the shops but sometimes I can’t take her in with me so making sure she’s comfortable and out of the sun in the car. Also helps with gardening I couldn’t figure out how the Shadow mode works but then touched screen and saw that it shows the object and as I move the object the Shadow shows up as the sun travels through the sky.Gives sundown sun up feature and tells you Joe long to that time. I really like this app

I just purchased this today so that I could enter different dates throughout the growing season to determine the amount of sun each area of my garden gets. I can’t select a date from the monthly calendar (nothing happens when I try) but I can select any date by using the arrows to advance day by day. It takes a little longer but it is a simple work around. Very useful app.
Developer Response
Thank you for your feedback. Please note that if you want to select another date, the object setup window needs to be entirely closed /dismissed. If this tip does not resolve the issue, could you please contact the developer directly from the app: see Settings-> Support-> Feedback with more details.
WAY outdated images!! Useless app!
quest app review
I downloaded this app hoping to use it to plan my landscaping. The images are well over 1 yr old/maybe 2 yrs?! still showing massive trees that are no longer in my yard. Kind of hard to track the Sun in the current yard or use this app for planning when the images are so old that I can’t use it. I contacted them to inquire about this and was told “The imagery is never real time but it does not impact the calculations at all.” Oh really? The “customer support” doesn’t even know how the app works. So giant trees (that aren’t there) blocking the sun (on the app) when there is NO tree…. Yeah the images do matter!! Not sure how this app got so many good ratings!
Developer Response
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. You are absolutely correct that the imagery in the app is not real-time; it is based on the most recent satellite data available from third-party providers, which can sometimes be 1–2 years old depending on the location. While the app’s calculations for sun position, shadows, and planning are based on mathematical models independent of the imagery, I completely understand that outdated visuals can impact the experience, especially for landscaping projects.I would also like to point out that our customer support provided an accurate explanation of how the app is designed to function. While we regret that this may not have been the answer you were hoping for, we believe it is important to provide users with honest and technically correct information.
Purchasing Solar Shades for New House
Puget Sound Tom
We bought a new house in the desert. Selecting the correct solar shades is largely about understanding sun position during the summer. This app was PERFECT. Just select the day of the year and then point the camera out the window. The app superimposes the sun track and notes the position at different times of the day.Every window-covering designer / sales person should have this.
Small improvements and bug fixes.
