Compared to other card games, this game plays a lot different than other card games. The first is the MP system. Compared to other games that uses this system (which is faster than this one), this MP system plays much slower than most (if not, all) card games. This is where you need to be careful and wise of which card to chose. For example, if you place down a card that costs 5 MP and your opponent places down a 3 MP, you’ll have a much harder time to win against the opponent. This is where you can either play easy or take the high road and play rough on yourself and use high MP cards against your opponent, with the cost being that you’ll have a much harder time. The second thing that plays different is rushing. Compared to other card games, rushing here has a much high chance of winning because of how you play. If you play safe, the chances of being rushed have decreased, but if you play aggressively and wild, you have a chance of this backfiring, giving your opponent the advantage. This also depends on how aggressive you play if you decide to either rush now or not depending on how much your cards cost. Rushing is the MECHANIC of this game, and doing it wisely and perfectly may give you the upper hand. Overall, this game maybe my favorite card game because of how you need to be wise and think quickly so that you’ll win much easier. Also the game gives you plenty of time each match, which makes planning and wise playing the perfect strategy towards winning against your opponents.
Amazing game makes me hate mega man
Kiba Ryu
Very different from most other card games out there, unique play style and very well thought out execution win few exceptions. The leveled up skills of the hero are often not worth changing from the original move and is a bit of disappointment that it feels their powers get weaker with unlocks instead of stronger with the exception of maybe two or three of the characters. The ability to pre-counter is really cool and adds a very interesting element of strategy. Some of the chronicles you have to use specific characters to win even when it gives you the option of any of your hero’s/decks...this is by far my most hated thing of any game I cannot stand my choice being removed or limited, sure you can roll the dice and keep trying to beat the four star mega man with anybody but only red or black will get it done even if you use you’re own mega man you will see his characters become near immortal before you even have a chance to put anything decent on the board, and I’m talking about over twenty attempts wanting to use my favorite characters and not being able to because the only way to win is to use the decks the creators want you to use. I know it’s only one battle but there is nothing worse in any genre of game than removing my ability to choose I have deleted countless triple A games for this very reason. I want to play my way not your way every character should have some sort of advantage they can use to take down any character not force us into such obvious paths where certain characters now matter how well built are unable to take down that blue annoying twerp.
Calvin Character are Nice I guess?

Fun game, stupid unbalanced. You’ve seen the other reviews: you just face the same cheap combos over and over and there’s not a great deal you can do about it. At a certain point, it means only specific characters with specific cards are actually viable for play. Sure, I could do it too, but the whole draw for me was “oh cool, I can play a card game as Mega Man X!” or “oh neat, I can be Dante!”, but the reality of the situation is that the vast majority of your opponents will be the same character, same cards, same combo, same inability for you to do anything about it. Got all “target friendly” spells in your hand? There’s no mulligan or discard, so you gotta forfeit. Not playing Ryu or spamming spikes with Nergigante? You already lost, don’t bother. Didn’t bring flying? You’re gonna waste a lot of time on the way to that loss. They were pretty generous with the card packs from level up and such, I only ever bought the introductory crystals for the season pass and managed to get a good spread of cards, but you can only level up so much from the missions before you’re left with two unfair missions that force you to create special decks over and over to try and overcome their grossly cheap conditions. Might wanna just come back to this one after they use the early players as game testers a bit more and save yourself the headache.
This has become my favorite card game.

Just for some context, I’ve played magic, hearthstone, yugioh, and a few other card games on and off with my friend group and dabbled with tournament play. My first impressions of this game were strong, and the stylish hero arts, player friendly crafting system, and new updates kept me playing for a long time. It did have its problems with balance, but I am happy to say as of 4.0.5 this is the best card game I’ve ever played. The balance changes were spot on, and fixed every problem I had with the game. Ryu burn won automatically against other red decks, purple halt decks were able to run over your units without any counter play, etc. etc. This is all now addressed with this recent patch, and I will be playing this game even more than before. To top it all off, If you used these cards that got nerfed they are letting you reap these cards for full return on crafting materials. This development team deserves high praise for what they’ve done, and that’s what led me to writing this review. If you’re a new player on the fence, or an older player wondering when to return, I 100% recommend this to anybody that likes card games or capcom. Good job Dev team!
