What is prehabilitation?
The prehabilitation program seeks to reduce complications after surgery and accelerate patient recovery through changing habits.
Habits changes will be made in the following areas:
- Physical exercise: The increase in physical activity before the operation is beneficial to accelerate the recovery of the postoperative period.
- Nutrition: A diet rich in protein and a change in diet can prepare the body to reduce complications after the operation.
- Mindfulness: Mental preparation before the operation large or small is important to reduce risks, containment of stress and normalization of the operation can help before, during and after the operation.
