If I could give this App & Customer Service 10 stars I would! I have a son who has autism and wandering and not understanding “Stranger danger” has been a huge fear of mine. This app has helped alleviate those fears. It’s user friendly and allows you to set up alerts so you know when your child leaves a specific area. They also have an emergency tracking feature which locates your child in real time. It alerts you when the battery on the watch is low and allows you to view location history. Not only is the app a lifesaver but Scott and Paul have gone above and beyond to help me with any issues I had. They were both patient and understanding. They genuinely want to help you and do what ever it takes to fix the issue is. I am forever grateful to both of them. I highly recommend this app! Thank you Scott and Paul!!

Absolute waste of an hour of my time. Let me first off say I worked at T-Mobile for years and was certified in mobile and internet devices. This set up process for this app is horrendous. They made it step by step but they do not include the mishaps that can happen along the set up process like for example it MAKES you set the app on a “face” of your watch but don’t tell you that only certain “faces” allow you to do that. I had to contact support for that. When I first started the set up process it also couldn’t connect to my watch. It also MAKES you have your location on at all times for the app, not only when you are using it which will severely run your battery life if you do not already know that. I had to contact support 3 different times through out the set up process and although they responded promptly they also mentioned how long of a “thread” I had with issues in our conversation, well….if your set up process wasn’t so complicated I wouldn’t have to reach out in the first place now would I? After getting through ALL of that, I can’t proceed because your watch HAS TO have a cellular service line. I repeat, YOU CANNOT USE THIS APP WITHOUT CELLULAR SERVICE ON YOUR WATCH. Which should have definitely been stated at the beginning of this long process and would have saved me an hour of my life. I wanted to use this app so I could go to the gym with my toddler, put the watch on my toddler and be able to be notified if my toddler left the child center (which we would both be in the same building). But since I do not have cellular service on the watch I cannot use the app, making the app pointless. I deleted it and will be finding another app for what I need. Waste of time and energy.
Just what I was looking for

We had already given an Apple Watch to my father to alert us in case he falls. When he walked out of the house one night it became clear that we needed a means of tracking his movements as well. I expected that the ability to alert us if he walked out of a pre-set zone would be a core capability of the Apple Watch itself, but it wasn’t. A Google search indicated that BoundaryCare was the only app that provided this service. We set it up using the two-phone method since dad has his own phone, then set up caregivers network since sisters live nearby. The app works exactly as we hoped it would. Absolutely wonderful— gives us great peace of mind.

UPDATE #2: had to get a different watch for my loved one. Transferring to that watch has been a PITA. I really want like and use this app!!!! But I have again found customer support to be cumbersome at best. Email only. No weekends or outside EST business hours. If one has an issue on Thurs-Sun, forget about any help until at least Monday. It’s Mon afternoon MST and still no help for my issue from Friday. Initial reply from CS did not resolve my issues. Several things that should be able to be controlled by user requires Customer Support. Finding myself quite frustrated. Again. UPDATE: was finally able to connect w Customer Support via phone and able to resolve the issues. Tech was very knowledgeable and helpful. App looks excellent. Will wait to give final review after using it for a few weeks. Still dinging them 1 star for lack of direct phone support. ————————I’m just getting this set up for a friend. One thing I notice immediately is that the large time display in the app for the watch does not indicate am or pm. I think it’s important to have these for loved ones having issues re knowing if it’s day or nightI’m also quite frustrated that support is only available via email. And that is quite delayed. This is the reason for my poor review.
