Next is the easiest way to enjoy the songs you already know and love. It's an app you'll want to use every day.

We’ve all been through those moments when we want to listen to music but don’t know which one to choose. Then we set the player to shuffle mode and start skipping songs until something we like starts playing. We know that feeling.

We created Next to solve this problem: it has a feature called Magic DJ that analyzes all your music library and creates a mix of all your songs and favorite ones, balancing them in a smart way. All you have to do is tap “play” and enjoy!

And to help you find out more about your own musical taste, Next also creates dynamics playlists that are automatically updated with your favorite artists and genres. Next also makes playlists of songs you added to your library but never paid too much attention to or even those you used to listen to a lot in the past, but end up forgetting them. New playlists are always being added from time to time.

• To use Next, you need to have an active Apple Music subscription or local songs synced to your iPhone.
• Next works with music libraries with at least 100 added songs.

We hope you enjoy Next as much as we do!

Good idea. Opens some questions.

Overall, good idea.

What works well: it has surfaced songs I haven’t thought about in a while which I have missed. It’s also surfaced songs I have been glad to remove.

What could be improved: The UI needs some work (needing time switch tabs to see what’s playing feels unnecessary).

The question: this has opened up what look like holes in my historical Music data. Songs which have been labeled “never played” have indeed been played - albeit not in over a year. But I suspect that could be an Apple issue and not an app issue.

Thanks for your review! We're glad we could help you discover more about your songs. About the "Never Played" playlist, this is a good question. It really looks like it's not an app issue, but if you'd like to help us investigating this, please send an email to support@sorcererhat.com so we can take a look together. We'll also take your feedback about the UI under consideration.

This is really cool! I really like that when it creates a “playlist” it is really just queues up a bunch of songs (which is awesome) INSIDE THE MUSIC APP. Amazing 👏

I would love to see more playlists added, maybe ones where it can sprinkle in related songs (but then I guess information would have to leave the device 😔). Also after reading the privacy notice, this app was a must buy — all on device and no tracking.

Thank you for making this awesome app!

My music library reborn

I have a really large library that I typically listen to on playlist shuffle. Next helps me rediscover "lost" tracks and deep dive on favorites from time to time.

Really smart how they implemented it so the playlist plays in Apple Music, making this song-rating, Carplay-using listener very happy.

Bonus points is they are super-responsive. I sent feedback on Twitter and they responded / fixed really quickly.
