- Group articles by date published, length, feed, author or tag. - Caption text accompanying an image that is too long to fit in the box can be expanded by swiping upward on it. - Image captions use a condensed font in order to fit more text. - Improved compatibility with feeds that are encoded in a non-standard way, including when encountering malformed UTF8 encoding. - YouTube links are no longer converted to inline videos, this caused formatting issues with some feeds so perhaps wasn't the best idea. - Hidden articles are now also hidden in the favorites view. - Tagged articles now display the tag color as a bar down the side of the article summary and can optionally apply a tint of the color to the whole article.

- Improved support for feeds encoded with less common encoding formats. - Improved compatibility with malformed feeds where the stated encoding doesn't match the feed content.

- Fixed the widgets, can't really believe I hadn't noticed they were broken before now so sorry about that. - Gave the widgets a bit of a design spruce up, tightened the fonts and spacing a little to make better use of space. - Adopted new widget APIs so that they still look good in standby mode.

- Fixed a bug that made it appear not to save feed settings if opening the settings window immediately after closing it. Settings were being saved, it just wasn't reflected in the app until after reopening the timeline. - Fixed a bug that showed an erroneous error message when unable to load the full content for an article. - Added support for inline YouTube videos, in both the article view and timeline. - Added the ability to open an article in the system browser or associated app directly from the article timeline, this can be set globally or per feed. - Added floating action button to the article view for quick access to the external URLs for that article. - Added a setting to let you specify whether to try and load the full content for every article in a feed, or only for summary-style articles. - Added tabs to show the original and full article content. - iOS Tips if running on iOS 17! - MUCH improved support for Dynamic Type, I thought I'd done this but evidently something got broken somewhere along the way, anyway now the article view adjusts to the system text size. As a consequence the setting to control the headline scale has been removed in favour of an overall font scaling setting that operates on top of the system setting. - Lots of little layout tweaks to the article view.

- Added support for the feed: protocol, which enables the app to respond to opening feed URLs in Safari. - Fixed a bug that would prevent feeds being added when hosted at a custom sub-domain that isn't accessible at the root of that domain (e.g. The WSJ feeds), thanks to Mark W for bringing this to my attention. - Better support for running when offline, images are preloaded and cached locally.

- Fixed bug that would cause articles to fail to be loaded under some rare circumstances. - Fixed bug whereby a new feed added to the sidebar wouldn't appear immediately. - Fixed bug whereby Mastodon posts wouldn't refresh the replies if previously loaded. - Images uploaded to Mastodon have their EXIF and geolocation data stripped before sending. - Images uploaded to Mastodon can now have alt text added.

- Added Mastodon support: sign in to your instance and add feeds for your timeline, hashtags, search, and more. - Removed Twitter support (sorry about that). - Improved performance: updating feeds is much faster. - Redesigned interface: more streamlined and overall much tidier.

- Condensed and compressed system fonts are slightly larger as compared to the regular versions to increase legibility at small sizes. - A progress spinner is shown during in-app purchases and while restoring purchases.

A few bug fixes, mostly for iPad, including: - Avoid overlapping the keyboard when searching. - Improved sidebar icon alignment. - The mini progress spinner is now colour matched to other similar controls. - Restored the bar button on the detail view, which were sometimes missing. - Restored line returns in Twitter feed articles, which were sometimes missing.

- Advanced Twitter search feeds. Search for a combination of criteria, include or exclude text, images, video and more. - Exclude replies from the home, mentions, and retweets timelines. - Load linked tweets or web pages using the built-in readability engine and display them using the same template as for feed articles. - Save web pages loaded via the readability engine as articles grouped by domain. Web page feeds have their own sidebar group. - Load the full article content using pull-to-refresh.

- Restored "hide bars on tap" functionality. - Automatically loading the full content will now refresh the article shown in the article list view. - Fixed a bug with certain feeds not displaying the full content the first time an article was viewed. - Full-screen image view now uses a page control (dots) for multiple images instead of thumbnails, this is more compact. - In the full-screen image view: swipe left/right to view multiple images, swipe down to dismiss, tap to show/hide the bars, double tap to zoom in, two finger tap to zoom out. - Added haptics when opening the full-screen image view to mirror the "force-press" haptics.

- Fixed crash on iOS 14.5 when signing in to Twitter. - Improved scroll performance for Twitter feeds. - Tapping an image in the article view now opens full screen like on the article list view. - New setting to allow the full tweet text to be displayed in the article list. - Tweets shown in the full screen image view are no longer truncated. - Hashtags, user names and links in Twitter feed articles are highlighted in the article list. - Linking to third party Twitter apps is more reliable. - Added new option for linking to web pages that uses the built-in readability engine (premium subscribers only).

Twitter integration!: - Twitter feeds can show your timeline, mentions, or retweets.  - Alternatively, follow another users tweets, perform a search, or view a list. - Use the iOS context menus to follow, mute, or block Twitter users. - Open links to tweets in your favourite Twitter client (supports Tweetbot and Twitterrific at this time). Improved media handling: - Opening an image full screen shows a preview of the enclosing article as a caption. - A row of thumbnail images is shown if an article has more than one image. - Using the iOS context menu on a video plays that video.

- Added a new top level view of your articles. Favorites combines all articles from feeds that you have favorited. - Introducing the new Feed Bar! This is a tabbed bar that sits at the top of a list of articles when viewing a folder of feeds, or the new Favorites view, that lets you quickly filter the article list to just one feed at a time. - Adjusted notification processing to (hopefully) avoid sending notifications for old articles. - Videos playing full screen no longer stop playing when rotating your iPhone. - Links in articles to images hosted somewhere relative to the feed are now able to be opened. - Tweaked visual appearance in dark mode, the dark grey background is now the default. - Fixed issue detecting changes to feeds/articles that may have caused unread count to appear out of date, or article status to not be updated immediately.

- Support for custom fonts. - Added support for Apple's serif system font: New York. - Fixed a crash that could occur if pressing the "next unread article" button after going back from an article to the unread articles list, if a feed update was in-progress. - Tweaked the article list layout when large attachment thumbnails are displayed. - Adjusted the schedule for updating feeds so that in-app updates initiated by you happen immediately. - Improved background stability which should result in having to relaunch the app less.

- Inline videos, such as those from YouTube, are now supported in the article view, so long as "Show Media in Articles" is enabled for that feed. - Fixed a crash that would occur if attempting to save an image in an article to your photo library. - Articles with no content now fall back to the article summary, if one exists. - Changes to nested folders in the sidebar are now displayed immediately. - The relative date/time next to each article in the article list is periodically updated to remain correct.

- Reduced memory consumption when downloading updated feeds. - Improved the stability of background updates, making it less likely the app will be closed. - Fixed a bug that could cause a crash on the app notifications settings screen. - Added a warning if trying to manually refresh feeds on a non-primary device.

- If you have more than one device synced to the same iCloud account you can now nominate one of them to be the ‘Primary Device’. The primary device is responsible for downloading new articles from your feeds, other devices will sync via iCloud. This can help preserve battery life on other devices, and improve sync reliability. - Improved sync reliability when duplicate articles are encountered. - Fixed a bug that prevented being able to move a feed or folder to the top level. - Fixed a bug that prevented moved feeds or folders from appearing in the right location until after an app relaunch. - Fixed a bug whereby a feed that was added wouldn't immediately download articles. - Fixed a bug whereby a feed that was deleted and then added again wouldn't download articles for a while.
