I had TVTIME, but THIS is great

When TV Time announced they were ending their service that helped you track your TV shows and movies, I was so bummed. I had been using it since the beginning. I scrambled to find an app I could use to import my TV Time data. I tried a few of the apps offered as replacements on Reddit, but Sofa Time won out. It tracks how much time you spend watching TV and movies; you earn badges for watching things you love and creating lists. You can follow people and see what they are watching. You can choose your favorite character each episode, rate the episode, and leave comments. That is all important to me. I especially love how, at the end of the month, they show you everything you watched and break down stats on your favorite genres, favorite characters, and most-watched shows and movies—definitely one of my favorite apps.

Sofa Time is the best app for keeping track of shows (movies and TV shows). I have it on my Mac, iPad, and iPhone, and the app syncs between all 3 platforms so everything stays up to date. (To sync, pull down on the screen when viewing the “My lists” section.) The low price for the premium version makes it a steal, and it’s not a yearly subscription. Created and maintained by a developer who I found to be very responsive. The interface looks great and works well. It’s nice to have images representing the shows instead of just text. The app provides an easy way to search for shows of interest. It’s also highly customizable with the ability to create personal lists of shows just for you and/or other family members. You can add a personal rating for a show, and often easily see the rating scores given by the Rotten Tomatoes and IMDB websites. You can also add a personal note to any show in any list. I easily created separate lists for each of the following: shows that my wife and I want to watch together, shows that only I want to watch, shows that we are currently renting, shows she and I are currently in the middle of, shows that I’m in the middle of, and shows that we watched in the past (with each having my personal rating and a personal note if I wish). It’s easy to delete a show from a list or move a show to another list. The same show can also be in multiple lists. Sorting options exist for lists or you can manually order them the way you prefer. The app has other features that I’m not mentioning.I highly recommend this app. It’s the best I’ve found, by far. I’ve encountered a bug or 2, but they are minor. I’m confident that those will be fixed soon and that the developer will continue to improve the app.

Awesome TV & Movie Tracking!

I have been a user of Television Time for years and lately it feels like development on it hasn’t been slowing and the development on their other app Cinema Time has been nonexistent. Both are reasons I decided to try and find a new tracking app that syncs with Trakt well. And let me tell you, Sofa Time is by far the best app I have come across that syncs with Trakt and tacks shows and movies beautifully. I honestly wish I had found it sooner. The customization and features are incredible. My only two minor suggestions/wants would be a grid style layout for the Watch tab and more app icon customization (I know I’m weird but I like when my apps feel like they could be stock apps, white icon on a colored box, for example). Other than that this app is perfect.

Great app, just a minor issue

I think this is a great app to track everything you watch and I would give it 5 star if it wasn’t for a bug that I’m experiencing. The app was working normally when I’m adding movies or shows to my watched tab, but today all of a sudden, all the movies I had watched just disappeared and now I have to go back and re-add them to the watched tab and it’s really annoying because I had over 300+ movies. I’ll go back and add them back, but if the issue keeps on happening then I won’t bother anymore.I tried refreshing the page and exiting the app, but that didn’t work. The same thing happened with all the shows I’ve watched just earlier today, but it was only 60 so it wasn’t that hard to add them back. But I wanted to know if it’s happening because of something I did or just a bug. Other than that, the app is a solid five.
