I used your old weather app daily. This new one is awful! Harder to navigate and less user friendly. The home page has the weather at the top in a very tiny little graphic. The vast majority of the page (taking up half the opening screen) is now a large annoying advertisement. I am happy to deal with ads but not when they are the sole focus of the page versus the weather that I loaded the app for!

The home screen on this new app is mostly an ad with a small space for the current temperature. I have to navigate to another page to see the current temperature with the "feels like" temperature. On the old app I could see all that information together as soon as I opened it. There is no place on this app to see the eight-day forecast at a glance. I have to scroll and scroll and scroll... and scroll through a looooooong page and all the daily descriptions. The radar looks terrible. It looks faded and is difficult to discern the different levels of precipitation and storm strength. The time stamp is even difficult to read. There is no easy way to see the future radar. I have to pull up a separate menu and navigate through a bunch of other options to do so. In the old app I could easily switch from the current radar to the future projection on the same screen with just a quick tap. On the hourly forecast, I can't see the temperature, chance of precipitation and wind at the same time, I have to tap on them individually. In the old app, all of that information was together at a glance. This new app seems like just a change for the sake of change. The old app was great, and I used it daily (often multiple times a day). I'm sure it could have used some tweaks here and there, but to completely revamp it was totally unnecessary (and it didn't work out so well the last time you tried it)! It's the Wish-TV equivalent of Windows 8: "Let's take all the information that you used to be able to see quickly and easily and hide it under layers of navigation to make you guess where it is now." Not such a great idea!So to sum up, this new app is not user friendly, and if you are going to completely get rid of the old one then I will be looking for alternatives in the App Store.

Downloaded the new app to find that advertisements take up most of the home screen. And when trying to Zoom in to identify specific locations of interest (home, work, etc) full page ads popped up. When setting up notifications to receive for locations, the whole thing froze; no way to go forwards or backwards. Waited and it would not unfreeze. Was unable to view anything else this might have to offer. Had such high hopes for this overly-totted weather app — Uninstalled. Note to WISH-TV and weather app developers, when severe weather is in the area it is imperative that we see what is happening NOW, your pop up ads are risking the lives of the people you are trying to protect. Are our lives really worth any delay in being forced to X out of your money making scheme?

I rarely write bad reviews but I’ll make an exception.I’m sure the weather forecast coming from the same people is great. But the app itself is missing so many great features from the first. The fully customizable interactive radar is far less customizable than the app it replaced. That app had a simple array of choices that you could place on the map; the base weather conditions like precipitation; precipitation &clouds; wind speed, snowfall; road weather....Then you could pick and choose overlays like storm tracks, lightning, etc... and then alerts like floods, winter weather storms, tornadoes etc. With the new app, there are many weather data choices but rather than the button on the map screen which pops up on the map, it brings up a new screen, you switch then go back. More gas than needed, the old interface was easier & more user friendly. As to the overlays; they’re clunky and like the weather conditions, open a new window and you have to go back to the map rather than it being right on the map.The visuals are not as good. A MAJOR missing piece is the “storm tracks” overlay. So valuable to see which directions each storm cell is moving. This is far more clean on the old app. when there are storms, it is easy to identify their type from the icon legend on the bottom of the map. Tapping the icon gives you some brief but good detail like direction, speed, time, threat level...the new app all I can see is that there are green areas you can click and provides the complete NWS alert text. Can’t read that in the car as I’m trying to figure out where to go safely! The old “storm tracks” had quick data, easily and visually accessible at a glance...not read the whole alert.I wanted to like the new one but it’s too different in ways that is less user friendly and lacking in key functionality. I’m glad I still have the old one, I’ll stick with that.
