I’ve had this app for a good long while now, it was really good and helpful and I used it a lot. At some point recently, the app stopped working, so I updated it just to realize there is now a subscription plan. I understand the devs need to make money, and I would’ve been fine with like a $5 charge to get all the features, but really, I am not interested in paying monthly for a rhyming dictionary. So many apps are just shoehorning in subscription plans for services that really don’t require it and I’m sad this one jumped on that bandwagon.
Hi!We are sorry to hear that you feel this way. Our goal has been to keep the basic features free, and not charge anything for any key feature that has been free, and this is still the case. You can still use the app without a subscription. To answer your questions, a one time fee is not sustainable to keep the app running in the long run. We also have plans for further development, and we need some sort of revenue from the app to make it sustainable. Ads is probably the last thing you’d want. To stay away from that we took this route. We are very excited for the features we can bring you with this opportunity.
