I love that the server is open source and can be self hosted. One of the best looking chat apps out there for the price, but has some missing core features that will be added in the future I am told. My only complaint about the app so far is that the top and bottom of your phone (iPhone 12 Pro Max) is just black and looks ugly, and they could have just filled it in with the white background instead as shown in the app preview.
I’m blow away with how slick this is compared to “leaders” like intercom and Helpscout

We’re rolling out chatwoot for our startup and I’m truly blown away with how simple and smooth this app is compared to others we evaluated especially intercom. We’re a small team so answering chats and emails on the go is vital. The app works well to handle messages from all types of channels. It also lets you access your custom integrations/extensions inside the app which is super cool - we are building one to view customer profile info from our main app and I was surprised to see it’s accessible as a web view inside chatwoot in the conversation action menu. One small piece of feedback I have is make it easier to resolve a conversation with fewer taps/menus, and adding more filters to the conversations tab eg filtering by customer or custom fields.

Great app, but still needs some polish

I’ve been using Chatwoot for over a year and overall like the app. However the app doesn’t pickup updates to chats when navigating from a chat notification into an already open chat screen. I need to go back to the chat list screen, refresh and click back into the chat screen.
