Love it!

I finally got it why I can’t change with workouts only, thanks Coach. I needed to take everything into account! Now it’s all in my daily plan and The Coach always reminds me to follow it and even offers extra tips & info on how to improve my result. Love it!

Good- Needs a few big Changes to Keep

First- I like much of the idea of the app & how it functions. My problem is with the workout UI. I listen to music during my workouts but the app will not allow me. Every time it switches from workout to rest or vice versa it stops background music. It does this even though no audio is playing in the app. Allowing background audio has been a pretty basic function in workout apps for quite awhile. The other is that the app makes no sound when the rest section is over, so you must be watching the app during the time you are moving, stretching or getting water etc. to know the rest period is over. This is also a pretty standard function. The best option for this would be a ten second warning that the rest period is almost over & then a sound you can choose that goes off when the rest period is over. There is no ability to choose how many sets you want to do. The last is pretty big. Several times during a workout I have had to close the app to take a call or a answer a text only to open the app and find the workout closed- when I go to the workout none of my progress has been saved and there is now a new workout there. There is no way to go back to the workout that was in progress once it’s crashed. If you added the ability to listen to your audio, added timer sounds, & the ability to save your workout in progress this app would be brilliant. But lacking that basic functionality for the workouts makes it very hard to continue to use.

It’s a robot

Unfortunately, this “Coach” is a robot. Really doesn’t provide much help unless you have absolutely zero idea on how to do anything for your health. If you’re at that level, let me save you the subscription fee: set your alarm and wake up early, eat breakfast, get in a workout. Set those reminders in your phone and follow that routine for a month, and then add in another step. Spend the month refining your initial habits with a google/YouTube search “Bodyweight workouts for beginners” “what’s the best breakfast for a productive morning”. Then do a google search for the most effective habits of successful men and slowly implement them into your life, one habit per month, and you’re going to be a rockstar.

The trouble with the Coach being a robot is that it can only respond out of the predetermined algorithm that the programmers have given it, whereas someone who is at the point of needing a coach is usually in need of specific help, it cannot be pulled from a list of responses. This is a neat idea, but it’s only successful demographic is people who are too lazy to google things to increase their life.

Developer Response ,

Hey! Thanks for your feedback. The developers are constantly improving the app by adding new features.

It’s convenient to use one app, instead of googling things. The app was created mainly to save time and to be a motivator.
