I gave this 5 stars to help balance those who are painfully ignorant of how live maps work. First off, I understand the app isn’t perfect; nothing can be, especially when it relies partly on self-reporting. People must understand that there is lag time in reporting as well. Nothing pops up instantly. Secondly, no, this is not fear mongering. If more people looked at this as a statistical tool rather than a oh-my-god-look-at-how-many-people-died, then that would help the situation. Third, On another note, PLEASE add a REPORT button to the CHATS. Some of the things I’ve seen are absolutely horrendous. Not to mention there are trolls whom I can’t tell if they’re being serious or not. I actually saw one person say, “I Hope all black pepoel [sic] died [from the virus].” Comments like these are completely unacceptable, and there should be a zero-tolerance policy for such discourse. So, please, add a report button to the chat channels and put some bloody moderators in there too.

Considering the available timetable the publisher no doubt faced, this app is outstanding. Today it receives a five star rating from me. Ingoing, I would expect and hope they provide some improvements. When I select a category under the first tab in order to drill down into country by country detail, it would be convenient if the last 3-4 countries I checked would appear in a separate section preceding the alphabetized section. Next, I think accuracy and resolution can be improved. I first noticed this deficiency when ab independent reporting source revealed a very granular distribution in Los Angeles area. Most disappointing to me though is that the cumulative numbers were greater than you were reporting at the time.

Raising calm awareness is the objective and seeing cases over time is how I use this app. Some need to see visually what gradually is happening. Let's all be familiar with and practice what we are being told, that is, social distancing. This app is being respectful in publishing information but it's clear (for some only when seeing a visual) that we all need to raise calm awareness and limit, reduce or carefully choose if and when we go to places with lots of people. We can slow but not stop the spread of virus and being responsible when using this app is up to us, those that want "information" about what others are seeing.

How do people know this is the best app to use for contact tracing? I have searched the internet for the app suggested for my area and I found nothing. I want to make sure I am doing my part to help and since there is other tracing apps out there, how do you know which one to use!? Do all the apps share the same info? If everyone isn’t downloading the apps, how effective will tracing be? I know these are more professional answers and not actually about the app or a review but I don’t know how else to get my questions out.
