Turbulence Intel for Pilots
The ride-quality layer 128,000+ users already fly with. Live reports, ADS-B turbulence, and 12-hour AI Nowcasts, all in one view. 30-day free trial.
Description
SkyPath is an AI-powered turbulence intelligence platform, built by pilots for pilots and trusted by leading airlines and business aviation operators worldwide. It unifies five turbulence data sources into a single live ride-quality view: SkyPath Observations, SkyPath ADS-B Turbulence, EDR, Turbulence PIREPs, and SkyPath Nowcast.
As you fly, your iPad's motion data feeds the network. In return, you get advance alerts on turbulence ahead of your route and a live picture of conditions across surrounding airspace. Software-only. No hardware, no aircraft grounding, no integration required.
SkyPath turns turbulence from an unavoidable hazard into a manageable, predictable risk.
THE IMPACT
Customers see up to a 50% reduction in turbulence-related injuries (based on 5 years of operational data). Trusted by 128,000+ pilots worldwide, with 40,000 active every day. 9 billion turbulence reports collected and 32 million in-flight notifications delivered anually. Members: NBAA, ACSF, RTCA, APEX.
REAL-TIME TURBULENCE INTELLIGENCE
Turbulence from five sources, processed through AI modeling, normalized per aircraft type, and refreshed every minute: SkyPath Observations, SkyPath ADS-B derived Turbulence, EDR, Turbulence PIREPs, and SkyPath Nowcast. See exactly what aircraft ahead of you are encountering, the moment they encounter it. A hexagon flashes on your map with the time remaining until the encounter, alongside pop-up and voice alerts, even when the app is in the background.
ONELAYER: ALL YOUR DATA, ONE SCREEN
SkyPath OneLayer is a smart, consolidated ride-quality layer that combines all turbulence data sources into a single intuitive display. A machine-learning model prioritizes the most current data source for each location, filtering noise and standardizing severity across aircraft types. The full picture, one view.
AI-POWERED NOWCAST
SkyPath Nowcast projects turbulence, including Clear Air Turbulence, up to 12 hours ahead with 90% accuracy. Built on a machine-learning model that blends complex atmospheric conditions with SkyPath's accumulated observation data. Know what your route looks like before you're committed to it.
GPS INTERFERENCE LAYER
Live jamming and spoofing zones displayed with severity indicators directly on your map.
CONTRAILS LAYER
SkyPath's Contrails Layer, powered by Google AI, displays real-time contrail forecasts alongside turbulence data in a single interface. Make climate-conscious routing decisions without compromising safety.
OFFICIAL PIREPS TO NWS
File a full FAA-recognized PIREP directly from SkyPath to the NWS Aviation Weather Center. The fastest and most intuitive official PIREP submission.
A SOFTWARE-ONLY SOLUTION
No hardware installation. No aircraft grounding. No integration required. SkyPath deploys across your fleet without interrupting a single flight.

Introducing:
SkyPath OneLayer
SkyPath OneLayer is the world's first smart, consolidated ride quality layer. It integrates the best global turbulence data sources, including SkyPath Observations, EDR, PIREPs, and SkyPath’s Nowcasting (with 12-hour predictions), into a single, AI-powered layer. With real-time insights, intelligent notifications, and a user-friendly display, OneLayer enhances situational awareness and reduces workload.
SkyPath ADS-B Turbulence
The world’s first turbulence data layer derived from reports of ADS-B vertical rate. The ADS-B layer brings a major increase in the quantity of observational reports available in the SkyPath ecosystem, across the globe. This layer is contained within the OneLayer, and is also visible as a separate layer by enabling it as an “On Top” layer.
Nowcasting Improvements
SkyPath’s Turbulence Nowcasting now has predictions for up to 12 hours, increasing from 6, and notifications are also configurable for nowcasting reports in the Settings menu.
Peer-to-peer Optimization
Allow SkyPath to search and connect to devices on your local network to significantly reduce data consumption.
GPS Interference PIREPs
Stay informed about GPS Jamming and Spoofing along your route with SkyPath’s GPS Interference PIREPs. Experienced GPS interference? Create a PIREP to let other pilots know, with simple drag and drop functionality.

• Product walkthrough within the app - We made the onboarding experience better than ever, with a product walkthrough tour within the application. New users will see it right away. If you would like to learn more about how to operate SkyPath, go to the setting and take the tour.
• Calculated pressure altitude display - We have added the ability to calculate and display your pressure altitude. SkyPath uses the iPad’s GPS and the atmospheric conditions at the flight’s current location.
In addition, you will also find the altitude slider much more informative and easy to use as your altitude and the search block are conveniently displayed there.
• Ride conditions - Forecasted ride conditions based on the current turbulence reports along the route. The popup will be shown after starting a flight. The ride conditions are updated throughout the flight and visible via the flight status box.
• Enhanced background notifications and Split view - From now on, you don’t need to open SkyPath to the foreground to view the content of the background notifications. You can use the iPad’s haptic touch to extend them and receive more information about them. SkyPath also supports split view mode for simultaneous work with other applications.
• Map enhancements - Dark mode logic is upgraded and is now linked to your iPad’s settings automatically. You can change it manually. Map now supports Multi-Select menu when there is more than one entity around your finger. Map information logic was upgraded to ensure a smoother experience when zooming in and out, also when offline. Vertical View will now follow your flight direction automatically.

• Fully automated set angle - After starting a flight, the angle is set automatically. There is no need to recalibrate anymore, as it will sense when to pause and when to restart the turbulence recording.
• Globe view and Smart polygon layer - We have added a smart polygon layer to show a zoom-out overview of turbulence reports in a certain area. It will change to the known granular reports when zooming in. The vertical view has improved UX and tapping on smooth reports is now enabled as well.
• Corridor support - The turbulence information will be focused around the route (250 miles from each side). To view other areas, move the viewport on the map and the information will be fetched. There is now an option to download data only along the route - under Settings>Map information with the ability to set the width of the corridor.
• Airport information now includes ATIS.
• After flight analytics and battery enhancements - A flight summary popup following a flight. SkyPath will also remove the previous flight and turn off the location services automatically after landing to conserve battery.
