The Scutpuppy Guide To The Lands In 1984-85, a survey of UTSW 3rd and 4th year medical students revealed that certain information would have helped in the transition from classroom to wards. The Scutpuppy Guide aims to help fill some of those gaps. This text serves as an FAQ for your 3rd and 4th years – practical information and advice gathered at your fingertips. Keep it close by, use it liberally, and remember, if you can drink from the fire hose, you can run with the big dogs. Students of the Class of 2016 felt the need to have a more convenient way to find information related to 3rd and 4th year clinical clerkships on their smartphones and tablets. The Scutpuppy App was born out of this requirement. We hope that this app continues the tradition of the Scutpuppy guide in helping students with quick access to pertinent information and contributes to the university’s efforts to go green.
