1. If you are going to offer something and place it on the popular page… make sure it works and is there?2. Don’t make the page bounce when I swipe. It is incredibly unnecessary. 3. Tri panel swiping should be up and down, not left and right. 4. Make the middle tap menu pull up faster. It takes a full three seconds before responding. 5. Remove swiping out of the book entirely. Just force me to use the X button. If I want to go back to a page, half the time I’m swiping out of the whole book. 6. Allow the reader to place books into each completion status. When I finish a book, let me put it in “finished” because it doesn’t do it by itself (or at least hasn’t yet).7. Loading times are loooong. Especially when I’m just browsing for something new in Featured or Popular. Generally, I enjoy the app. It is great to have access to so many things I can’t check out at my own library. But if I spend more time fighting with the UI than I do reading, there’s a problem.

The app has a decent selection of popular titles in their entirety, but a number of bugs and odd design choices make it pain to use. Like others have said, swiping on the left side of the screen and accidentally closing your book is really annoying. I just ran into a bug today with Beserk Volume 5, where in 2 page mode, the pages are swapped. Streaming is also quite laggy. Comparable reading apps offer a much smoother experience. Hoping that with time the kinks can be worked out, but in the meantime it’s just a passable experience.

Missing a few comics other apps have volumes of. Be nice if they added favorites feature and get notifications if a series u fav ends up getting added. Also needs better feature that shows the next book to read in order. App needs work, lag etc. but has decent collection.Update: so they added vol 1 of a comic but hoopla has 3 vol. and waited a week just to see if they would happen to add the other two, but they didn’t. Wonder how they get their comics unless they can request other libraries to share? Still great app sadly had to drop another star.

This app is just an extension of the comics-plus website. Like the website, its catalog is nice and big, but the UI is a bit confusing, the “shelf” (where books you want to read/are reading go) is very messy. The in-progress/not read tab is great, but adding folders to the shelf would be a massive improvement. Recently I had to delete the app bc it wouldn’t load, and downloads are slow. I definitely recommend it as a free way to read some popular comics and manga online. However for online reading in general Libby is an immensely better experience.
