The Mutiny
An evolving survival adventure
$2.99
Horde Zones — optional wave-survival arenas dropped into the open world. Six new specialized vendors. The Guts Collector. Pick your fights or run.
OPEN WORLD ZOMBIE SURVIVAL RPG
Scavenge. Survive. Don't get infected.
The Mutiny is a third-person open-world zombie survival RPG. Explore a post-apocalyptic map, scavenge for gear, build your survivor, and fight through whatever the world throws at you.
AN OPEN WORLD TO EXPLORE
Roam a connected open-world map — dense forest, two full towns, and hidden points of interest scattered between them.
YOUR SURVIVOR. YOUR LOOK.
Build your character from scratch — body weight, musculature, skin tone, hair, and more. You start with nothing but your survivor in their underwear. Every piece of clothing and armor you find fits your body perfectly, no matter how you built it.
25 ARMOR SLOTS. ENDLESS BUILDS.
Helmet, face mask, torso, shoulders, elbows, gloves, pants, knees, boots — 25 individual armor slots, all equippable. Six full armor sets to find, mix, and match. Every combination changes how you look and how you play.
SURVIVAL WITH REAL WEIGHT
Hunger drains. Thirst builds. Stamina fades when you run. The heavier your loadout, the faster it goes. Gear wears down from use — repair what you can, replace what you can't.
FOUR ZOMBIE TYPES
Shoot off a leg and they crawl at you. Take the head and they drop. Gas Zombies poison everything around them. Exploder Zombies sprint and detonate. Contaminated Zombies carry the virus — and they'll pass it to you.
EIGHT GUNS. EIGHT WAYS TO DROP THEM.
From the Vagrant semi-auto pistol to the heavy Maverick revolver. The Hornet submachine gun for close-range spray. The burst-fire Ranger and the do-everything Workhorse. The brutal Bulldog for stopping power and the Longshot bolt-action sniper for one-shot precision. The Breacher combat shotgun for everything at point-blank range.
TWELVE WAYS TO BLOW THEM APART
Standard grenades on a timed fuse. Molotovs that break into fire. Freeze Grenades that lock zombies in ice. Surge Grenades that fry them with electricity. Tack Grenades that stick to walls and zombies before they go off. Homing Lock Grenades that hunt their target down — with burner, freeze, and surge variants. A MK3 Lock that splits into three independent homing rounds, each chasing its own zombie. Zombie Attractors that drag an entire horde into one spot. And C4 you place, walk away from, and detonate on command.
HORDE ZONES
Optional wave-survival zones dropped into the world. Step in and the system kicks in — escalating waves of zombies until you clear the zone or pull out. Each zone has its own wave count, dynamic music, and a fast-forward button between waves. Walk past them if you want. Walk in if you want a real fight.
THE ZOMBIE VIRUS
Get infected and your max health starts to decay. Manage it with antibodies, or find the cure before it's too late.
GAS MASKS + CONTAMINATION ZONES
Toxic fog zones are scattered across the map. Without a gas mask you won't last inside them. Maintain your mask to push deeper.
LOOT YOUR OWN CORPSE
Death doesn't reset the world. Respawn somewhere else and fight your way back to your body. Your gear is still there — if you can reach it.
SCAVENGE, REPAIR & TRADE
Zombie Guts are the currency of the apocalypse, dropped by every zombie you kill. Equip the Guts Collector to auto-pull guts as you fight. Spend them at six specialized vendors — Weapons & Ammo, Explosives, Clothing & Armor, Lanterns & Gas Masks, Backpacks & Pouches, and Protective Gear. Repair broken gear at the Repair Station. Store what you don't want to lose in your personal stash.
DAY / NIGHT CYCLE
Day turns to night. Night turns to something worse. Carry a lantern.
BUILT FOR MOBILE
Full controller support. Designed for iPhone first. Regular updates from a solo developer.
Coming soon: Crafting, blueprints, surface raids, online multiplayer.
more This is my first time ever making a game review. I got this game last month played it for a few min and then deleted it. I felt a lot of potential but something was missing. A character creator! I see the vision. But double down on it. Add a separate clear option for females with sliders. This is a feature many devs avoid for some reason and us as players love that kind of creative freedom. I’m not saying it has to be flushed out like black desert online but I’m sure you can make something happen. So that’s my only thing I’m sure you’re working on polishing the games mechanics. It also feels great with controller which is really appreciated for a game like this. But yes please double down on the character creator this is definitely something I can see myself getting invested in!
Developer Response Thanks so much for the review and feedback — it genuinely helps the app a lot. Glad you’re enjoying the character creator. More features are on the way for it in the near future.Right now I’m finishing the next update, which adds more towns connected by a forest and an underground train tunnel system. It’ll be out in a few days. After that, I’ll be heading back to expand the character creator.— Mach3

This game is hands-down one of the most fun and well-designed apps I’ve downloaded in a long time. The graphics are clean and engaging.

I really like it and there’s plenty of fun already. Can’t wait to see where it goes when it’s fully developed. Great work, devs.

Been hooked to this game from the moment I downloaded it! My kids love it!!!
Three big additions: optional wave-survival zones, a new auto-loot item, and a fully restructured vendor system.
HORDE ZONES
Optional areas now scattered across the open world. Step into one and the wave system kicks in — survive escalating hordes for the rewards, or stay out entirely. They don't change how you play. They give you a new way to play. Each zone includes a wave countdown, dynamic music, and a fast-forward button for the break timer between waves.
GUTS COLLECTOR
A new piece of gear. Equip it and zombie guts are automatically pulled into your inventory as you kill — no more walking up to each body, as long as you have space. It wears down the more guts it collects, but you can repair it at the Repair Station like any other piece of gear.
SIX SPECIALIZED VENDORS
The vendor system has been split into six dedicated traders, each with their own specialty:
Weapons & Ammo
Explosives
Clothing & Armor
Lanterns & Gas Masks
Backpacks & Pouches
Protective Gear
WEAPON TUNING & QUALITY OF LIFE
Across-the-board tuning adjustments to the firearm roster, plus a range of fixes and quality-of-life improvements throughout the game.

THE WORLD OPENS UP
The biggest change yet. The Mutiny is now a true open world. Explore a connected map of forest, two full towns, and hidden points of interest — all free to roam.
FLASHBACKS ENERGY PILLS
A new consumable. Flashbacks permanently raise your base max stamina — pushing your limits higher than ever so you can run, fight, and carry more.
ZOMBIE GUTS — THE NEW CURRENCY
The apocalypse runs on Zombie Guts. Zombies now drop guts when they fall — loot them, spend them with vendors, survive.
NEW MOVEMENT: WALK / RUN / SPRINT
Movement is now a clean toggle between walking, running, and sprinting — full control on every device.

3.0 May 30
Build your survivor.
CHARACTER CREATOR
Start from scratch. Adjust body weight, musculature, skin tone, hair, and more before you drop into the world. You begin with nothing but your character — every piece of gear you wear, you find.
25-SLOT ARMOR SYSTEM
The biggest update to the game yet. Twenty-five individual armor slots — helmet, face mask, torso, shoulders, elbows, gloves, pants, knees, boots, and more. Find pieces scattered throughout the world and mix and match across sets. Every combination looks different and plays different. Build the survivor you want.
Six full armor sets with pieces of clothing and protective gear. Your clothing fits your body perfectly no matter how you built your character — whether you're running a heavy build or lean. Screenshots don't do it justice.
CONTROLLER SUPPORT
Full controller support is now live.
NEW BACKPACKS + POUCHES
New backpack options plus wearable small pouches for extra carry capacity.
LANTERNS
Find them in the world. Stay lit when the dark sets in.
DEAD BODIES DROP ARMOR

2.5 May 17
The Mutiny just got a lot more dangerous.
VENDORS ARE HERE:
The first vendor is now live in the world. Buy and sell any item. Find them, trade with them, and use them to turn your loot runs into real progression.
FOUR NEW ZOMBIE TYPES:
The dead aren’t just slow walkers anymore.
Contaminated Zombies — infected, dangerous, and they leave a mess
Gas Zombies — spew toxic gas and explode on death
Exploder Zombies — kamikaze runners that launch themselves at you and detonate
Dismemberment — shoot limbs off any zombie. Legs gone? They crawl. Head gone? They’re done.
GAS MASKS + INFECTION ZONES:
Contamination zones are now scattered across the map. Without a gas mask you won’t last long inside them. Find a gas mask, maintain its durability, and push deeper into zones other survivors can’t reach.
THE ZOMBIE VIRUS:
Get hit by the wrong zombie and you’ll get infected. Manage your infection with antibodies to recover your max health — or find the cure before it’s too late.
PERSONAL STORAGE CONTAINER:
You now have your own personal stash in the world. Store your best gear between runs. Much more coming soon.
— Mach3, Solo Dev.
2.1 May 4
Explosives are now in the game — find them in a new dedicated container distributed across the map. Flashlights are now destructible pickup items found while looting. Zombie eyes now glow in the dark.
SURVIVAL UPDATES:
Health recovery from being well-fed now pauses during combat. Player stamina, hunger and thirst values rebalanced. Backpack items drain stamina while stored.
INVENTORY & STATS:
New stats UI added to the inventory screen — track time of day, days survived, zombies killed and total kills. Equipment slots now show item condition at a glance. Item info panel updated.
AUDIO:
New death sound added. Main menu music updated. All audio settings adjusted for better performance.
FIXES:
Durability bar is now more visible when items are close to breaking. Pause menu now always appears above the inventory window. Fixed a bug where armor was preventing the respawn button from appearing. Empty slot images corrected.
The Mutiny is a third-person zombie survival RPG — the only one of its kind on iPhone. Survival systems, real gear weight, weapon degradation, and a world that gets harder the longer you last. Updated regularly by one developer.
Coming soon: vendors, crafting, gas mask mechanics, underground zones, and multiplayer.
2.0.4 Apr 22
The Mutiny is a completely different game.
This isn't an update. This is a rebuild. Nearly everything you see has been rewritten from scratch.
SURVIVAL SYSTEMS
The game now has real survival depth. Stamina drains when you run — and your gear has weight. Heavy armor and loaded weapons slow you down and drain your stamina faster. Push yourself to exhaustion too many times and your body permanently loses its peak stamina. Hunger and thirst are now fully active. Let them go and your performance degrades.
WEAPONS DEGRADE
Every weapon now has a durability rating. Fire enough shots and your gun breaks. Armor takes damage every time you're hit. A broken weapon gets automatically unequipped. You need to manage your gear or the world will manage it for you.
LOOT YOUR DEAD BODY
When you die, you don't lose everything. You respawn somewhere in the world — but your gear stays exactly where you fell. Find your body. Take it back. If you can.
SAVE SYSTEM
The Mutiny now saves your world between sessions just like Project Zomboid. When you return, choose to continue your run or start a new adventure. One save. Your world. Your story.
DAY, NIGHT, AND HELL
The world now has a full time cycle — day transitions to night, and night transitions to something far worse. Lighting shifts, audio changes, zombie behavior escalates. The ZombieDirector watches how many kills you're getting and responds. Hordes build. Seekers spawn. The longer you survive, the harder it pushes.
LOOT CONTAINERS
Containers across the map now generate randomized loot when you open them. Leave an area and come back later — they restock over time.
AUDIO
Full dynamic audio system. Ambient loops change with the time of day. Combat music kicks in when the horde gets thick. Random atmospheric sound effects fire throughout the world to keep you on edge.
WHAT'S COMING
Every two weeks this game gets a major update. Here's what's on the roadmap:
Vendors and trading (guts as currency)
Crafting system and blueprints
Surface raids with gas mask survival mechanics
Expanding map — new zones every update
Online multiplayer co-op
Custom zombie AI with vision, hearing, and attention systems
And a lot more
This is early access. The game you're playing today is a fraction of what it's becoming. Get in now before the price goes up.

1.5 12/18/2025
