One-off fee. Free updates. No ads/subscription/registration. Scan barcode. Sync w FLMC apps. Share w Apple Health. Color-coding for plants, pre & probiotics, UPFs, FODMAP
Lowering carb, saturated fat, and calorie intake while ensuring a healthy protein and high-fiber intake is a recipe for weight loss and improving visceral fat-related mental and physical health conditions such as metabolic syndrome, type 2 diabetes, high LDL cholesterol, cardiovascular disease including stroke, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), and depression.
Set daily calorie, carb, saturated fat, fiber & protein targets based on guidance provided in this app and your preferences for weights of food (g or oz). You can change the targets at any time as you wish or as advised by a healthcare provider.
Record food and beverage consumption using the barcode scanner, dictation, search or by favoriting foods and using the serving sizes provided, which can be changed at any time. Tap the notepad to add notes.
Monitor daily and long-term progress, export data to share with healthcare providers, synchronize data with other First Line Medical Communications Ltd nutrient counter apps, and share data with Apple's HealthKit.
Add your own foods and recipes and change serving sizes to personalize the app's 400-item database for you.
All food and beverage popups indicate whether the item is a plant, good prebiotic, probiotic or ultra-processed food (UPF) to inform a healthy diet and whether they are high or low FODMAP per serving where data are available to support people with irritable bowel syndrome.
Useful lists show calorie, fiber, carb, protein & saturated fat content of foods per 1oz or 100g and serving, which can be toggled from high to low & low to high. Also useful UPF, unprocessed plant, prebiotic, probiotic, high & low FODMAP food lists.
It’s not super fancy, but few apps let you track saturated fat as a primary target and this makes it reasonably easy once you set up recipes and your most used foods. I live that it’s not a subscription service.

I love the app because of the ease of use and value. No recurring charges, yay! Scanning labels is fast and easy. I tend to cook from scratch and have found the list of ingredients is not as robust as I would hope. Can you add things like sablefish, Alaska wild salmon, cilantro, jalapeño and other peppers, various nuts and seeds. Thanks
Developer Response
Great that you love the app, but surprised at your comment about foods to add to the database, because most of them (red, green & yellow peppers, cilantro, and a range of commonly used nuts and seeds) are already in the database. The only exceptions are sablefish, jalapeño and Alaskan wild salmon (though the database includes Atlantic wild salmon). We used to include sablefish but removed many of the less commonly used fishes many years ago to include other more common foods to avoid making the database too long and cumbersome. The app does provide the opportunity to customise the app by adding additional foods through the "Add food" tab. Then add the nutrients as listed on USDA FoodData Central at https://fdc.nal.usda.gov/. Please do contact us at support@firstlinemedicalcommunications.co.uk if you need assistance adding foods to the app.
Minor bug fixes and changes to improve usability.
