Fixed an issue where swiping between records on a universal layout could cause Note field values to be copied and saved to other records. Fixed an issue where too many items could get sent to iCloud at once causing the Cloud+ Sync to end before it was finished uploading everything the first time. Added support for document scripts when using the tfpro://script/docID:/scriptName: route. Fixed an issue where the App Lock feature didn’t work properly and caused some people not to be able to access Tap Forms who had enabled the lock on the main screen. New: Universal Layouts! • You can now group fields and other layout items within a single Section Heading field area. Tap Forms will let you choose how many fields you want grouped and it will draw a border around all of the fields in that grouping. • The background and border colour of the Section Heading field will be used for the entire grouping of fields. • You can now specify a Row Span for fields. This lets you place a large field, such as a Photo field, on one side and have multiple smaller fields to the right or left of that field. • Added ability to change the font and colour of the field titles on the universal layout. • You can now multi-select items on the universal layout and change their properties all at once on iOS. You could always do this on Mac. • Added ability to set the universal layout’s background colour. • Added ability to delete layout items from the Layout Items reordering screen. If a search term has double-quotes around it, the entire term will be treated as a single phrase search instead of breaking up each word into a separate search term. Added support for Highlight Negative Number for Calculation and Script fields Negative numbers will be highlighted on the Multi-Column list view too. Not all photo scaling sizes were being shown. Fixed. Added delete confirmation to swipe to delete function on records list view. Fixed issue with unlinking a record from a Link To/From field. It was deleting all links to that record instead of just the one. Fixed issue with changing search types not refreshing the search results after. Fixed issue with the default date value including the current time in the date instead of the start of day time for the Date field type.

This version of Tap Forms Pro removes the tab bar control to better utilize the amount of space available on your iOS devices. Specifically the iPad version would display a tab bar at the top of the screen taking up a lot of space. That space is now reclaimed. The Tools tab has been moved to a Settings view that can be displayed by tapping on the menu buttons at the top of the screens. The Search tab has been moved to a magnifying glass button displayed on the main Forms list screen. Fixed issue with records list section index displaying entire string when form is grouped by a Text type field. Fixed issue with Note field editor not respecting the default font setting. Fixed issue with masked Number fields not displaying the number value when you tapped on the masked dots. It was displaying smaller dots. Tap Forms Pro was creating record links with tapformz instead of tfpro on the script editor and Date field entry screen when adding an event to the calendar or reminders. When a form is grouped by a number field, the index list will now show the numbers on the right to make it easy to swipe through the records quickly. Fixed issue with Edit form function not working from Forms List screen. Fixed issue with location info screen not displaying the coordinates. All it displayed was 0, 0. Fixed issue with emailing a record that has a Table field in it. It wasn’t sorting Table fields in the email the same as it was on screen. Fixed crash when tapping on the All button when selecting records to link to another record in a Link to Form field.

Added support for choosing how many photos to display on a report per Photo field. Needs Mac version to create the report. Added support for providing a size for the Photo field on the report so you can control how big or small you want the photos to appear in the report. Needs Mac version to create the report. Fixed issue with search terms that contain OR operator. They were treating the OR as AND. Fixed issue with exporting TFF files for forms that contained Table fields. Fixed issue with searching words with accented characters using the “does not contain” operator. Fixed issue with date searches not searching from the beginning or end of the day. Instead it was using whatever the time was when the search was saved. This could cause Tap Forms to miss records. Fixed bug detecting missing photos on a Photo field. If there was a missing photo, viewing one of the non-missing photos could show you a blank screen. Fixed. You can now sort and group records by a Contact field. It will use the contact’s full name for the sorting. Fixed issue with encrypting documents that contain apostrophes in the filename. Fixed issue with deleting a record on the record details view. It wasn’t returning to the records list view after the deletion.

Fixed issue with filtering on Calculation or Script fields which return a Date value. Added AVGZ function to Calculation field help list. Fixed issue with grouping by Contact field. Will now display the name instead of the raw JSON encoded content. Fixed issue with searching for empty dates when you also had other search rules. It wasn’t fetching all the records. Set default number of lines to display to be 0 for new Note Fields. It was stripping out the tabs at the beginning of the values, so cascading Pick Lists weren’t being parsed properly.

The Email File function on the files list wasn’t working. Fixed. Added code to remove the background colour from pasted text to solve a problem when copying and pasting data from a website to a Note field. It would turn the background white and then you’d only see white bars on iOS in dark mode after a sync from the Mac. Fixed incorrect link type icon for Link From Form one-to-many links. Fixed issue with Link From Form field text for inverse one-to-many link types not displaying its content.

Barcode scanner now uses macro lens on supported devices to scan tiny barcodes. Changed the “was in the last” and “is in the next” Saved Search comparison operators to allow you to specify an “after, before, or within” option. For example, find all records where the birthdate was before the last 8 weeks. Or find all records where the birthdate is after the next 4 months. Or find all records where the birthdate is within the next or last 3 years. Fixed issue with Console Log not displaying output after running a script from outside the Script Editor. Fixed issue with the Photo field where portrait images could come in rotated if you were also scaling the images. Fixed issue with Number fields not accepting number values from Pick Lists that use non-North American decimal number formats. Fixed issue with field sort order when exporting records as CSV or XLSX. It wasn’t respecting the Form’s field order. Handle Default Value on Number fields that have the Percentage formatter applied to them so you don’t have to put a decimal fraction of 1 to represent the percentage. You can just put 50 or 50%. Fixed issue with UTF-16 encoded CSV files importing. Wasn’t importing all the records. Ignore blank lines when adding multiple values to a Pick List. Saved Searches will now ignore diacritics if the search terms themselves contain diacritics.

Added a Default AI service you can use to generate forms without you having to have your own ChatGPT or DeepSeek API keys. Limited to 5 form generations per day. Adding a new value to a Pick List from the Select Values Pick List view will now refresh the list of values to show the newly added value. Fixed issue with massive Rating field values causing performance issues and search indexing bloat. Added back getCalendarNames and getReminderNames JavaScript functions that existed in Tap Forms 5 but were not in Tap Forms Pro. Fixed issue with selecting Live photos and WebP images not showing when selected in Tap Forms Pro. Fixed issue with external app URL confirmation not being displayed when you tap the globe button on a Website field. Fixed issue with Saved Search that has only a search term in it causing all records to be fetched on iOS instead of just the ones with that search term in them. Fixed incorrect record count for searches that have only tags in the search rules. Fixed issue with Table field editing where the field type tapped on was not what was actually selected. Fixed issue with referencing “record” within a JavaScript loop when adding records to a Table field would cause the “record” property to be updated with each new record being added instead of being consistently the parent record of the Table field. Fix for potential hang when running scripts and calling saveAllChanges(). Duplicating a record will set the modified by device to the current device It will also set the dateCreated and dateModified values to the current date/time. Fixed performance issue fetching records when every record has a record colour assigned. Fixed issue with default values not being set when creating a new record. Localized the Note text editor into all the Tap Forms Pro supported languages. Fixed a bug with the indent / outdent buttons on the Note text formatter panel that wasn’t working for all supported languages. Added tab button to Note editor window to insert a tab into the content at the insertion point. Fixed issue with text against different light or dark row colours not adapting properly, including light and dark mode switching. Pick List colour values now showing on record details view next to field. Switched to the Apple colour picker for changing the record’s background colour.

Fixed issue with setting default values overriding existing values when Set Field’s default auto-caps setting to Sentences. Form icons selected from the photo library now support transparency Select form icon chooser now supports full dark mode. Searching for multiple words in the general search field doesn’t find results if the words are not consecutive in the content. If you switch to the “Contains word” search setting, you will now be able to search words even if they’re not consecutive. This is how Tap Forms 5 worked.

Now it stays open until you dismiss it so you can enter all the components of the Date or Time field. Fixed issue with reports on iOS not printing if the selection.selectedRecords wasn’t set, but selection.record was set. Better support for slide-over and split view modes on iPadOS. Added version number to About screen. Can now import transparent images from the Photo library. Fixed an issue with Calculation fields not updating for Table fields. Fixed issue with editing Table fields. Fixed issue with Fields list not showing on the Formula editor for Table fields.

First public global release of Tap Forms Pro! - Fixed an issue with dragging and dropping photos within a Photo field. - Added refreshCalculations() function to the JavaScript API to re-evaluate all the calculation and script fields for the specified record. - Fixed issue with Done button disappearing when record details view displayed modally and you navigate into a linked record and then back. Fixed an issue with pick lists on iPadOS not pointing to the button that was tapped on. Fixed a VoiceOver issue for Date fields on the record details view. It was reading some other random field’s name instead of the Date field’s name. Fixed an issue where the Share function was putting the wrong file extension when generating a Tap Forms Pro Archive. Fixed Tap Forms 5 archive importer wasn’t importing modified by device data. Note Editor no longer dims the text editor view when the formatter sheet is displayed.
