more *** (updated comments) Tap Forms remains solid for me. I travel a lot for personal enrichment. I have created a database that allows me to track RV travel el and the expenses associated with that and overseas travel. In addition to expenses, I track all the places we have stayed and points of interest visited. Tap Forms supports all my documentation needs. I use it on my phone, iPad, and two computers. Keeping everything synched as been pretty good -- connectivity has on occasion made it a challenge. Additionally, the support is and has been spot-on. (Initial comments follow) Tap Forms is simple, intuitive, and stable. I can do pretty much anything with Tap Forms that I can do with more complex databases. I currently us it to track information about our RV and international travel. Tap Forms works flawlessly. The new Tap Forms Pro makes creating reports easier. Support is always there and responsive. Highly recommended.

I upgraded to Tap Forms Pro (IOS) and Tap Forms Pro for Mac as soon as I heard that it was available, and am loving the new look and feel of the program. I started using Tap Forms for Mac 5.0 in April 2021 to manage the database of Geodetic Survey Marks that I have found and documented, over the past four years my database has grown to 3,166 records and I would be lost trying to keep track of these without Tap Forms. Each of my records contains 20 fields of various types including entered text, photos, map locations based on the survey marks latitude and longitude, and web links to National Geodetic Survey data sheets. All of these elements were easy to setup and are seamlessly integrated. The search, sort, and reporting functions make finding a particular record in my database a breeze. While I do all the heavy lifting of data entry on my Mac mini, I have a real-time synced database at my fingertips while I am in the field. As a ‘lifetime’ license holder of Tap Forms for Mac 5.0; I didn’t even blink when upgrading to the subscription based Pro Version; given the product’s quality and support, it was a no-brainer. Brendan has always been, and continues to be, super responsive to questions and supporting the Application. The App earns a solid 5-Star rating as a reliable database that is easy to set up and use; likewise, Brendan easily earns a 5-Star rating for his awesome support of the App.

I moved from Bento to Tap Forms at least a decade ago. My notes show Brenden’s personal answer to a question I emailed him in 2016. Over the years, whenever I’ve asked, he’s answered. I found Tap Forms the perfect app for any number of business records and in retirement continue to use it for projects both simple and more involved. I’ve just downloaded the Pro version and am anxious to start a neighborhood directory. Last night I discovered Brenden’s commitment to customer service is still full throttle. Imagine. Late Saturday, wrestling with a printing question. When I emailed I didn’t expect an answer until Monday. But Brenden followed through and got me on the right track immediately. I highly recommend the software and applaud the service.

This is much more than an update to Tap Forms. It looks and acts like a whole new app, but with the same basic structure of the Tap Forms I have known and used for many years. Still getting to know some of the amazing new features, but so far I’m not having any issues navigating. I did have some problems - mostly of my own doing - when I first installed and I was surprised at how responsive and helpful the developer was. That’s always reassuring! When I saw that Tap Forms Database Pro required a subscription, I sighed deeply, but after getting in and using it, I am happy to pay the reasonable yearly fee. Tap Forms was always a workhorse database but with the new UI, it’s visually appealing and that makes it a pleasure to work in.

1.2.1 Apr 4
New:
Universal Layouts!
• You can now group fields and other layout items within a single Section Heading field area. Tap Forms will let you choose how many fields you want grouped and it will draw a border around all of the fields in that grouping.
• The background and border colour of the Section Heading field will be used for the entire grouping of fields.
• You can now specify a Row Span for fields. This lets you place a large field, such as a Photo field, on one side and have multiple smaller fields to the right or left of that field.
• Added ability to change the font and colour of the field titles on the universal layout.
• You can now multi-select items on the universal layout and change their properties all at once on iOS. You could always do this on Mac.

• Added ability to delete layout items from the Layout Items reordering screen.
Fixes and other changes:
• When a new layout is created, automatically go into layout edit mode.

• Photo field view on iOS uses the accessory button now to display the photo selection options.
• Fixed crash when using Send Document function from Documents list view.
1.2 Apr 1
New:
Universal Layouts!
• Now you can design fully customized form layouts for Mac, iPhone, and iPad with effortless drag-and-drop simplicity. Create layouts optimized for each platform’s unique screen size, or use a single unified layout across all your devices for a seamless, consistent experience. You’re no longer limited to just one layout on iOS. Create as many layouts as you like even with fields laid out side-by-side!
Cloud+ Sync:
• A new, more optimized sync service for Tap Forms Pro on all your devices. Sync is faster and more efficient. Uses far less disk space as the previous iCloud sync service. Still syncs with your iCloud account, enabling sharing of documents with different Apple ID accounts.
Documents and other things:
• Added a search function to the main Database Documents view.
• Added ability to lock and unlock records so they can’t or can be edited or deleted.
• Changed all the menus to use the new iOS menu look and feel.

• Moved the Show/Hide Empty Forms button to left side menu instead of in the Add menu on the main Forms list screen.
• Note field on iPhone now behaves same as on iPad with the save changes confirmation if you close the Note editor.
• Rewrote the Scripts list view so re-ordering of scripts works again.
• Fixed alignment of large navigation title on Documents and Forms lists screens on iOS 18 and below.
• Fixed issue with PDF files displaying with the Image browser instead of the PDF Viewer.
